Yesterday I went from Gaber near Semič to the 545 m high Smuk. I ascended to the summit via a forest path over the Semenič peak (590 m), descended via a somewhat shorter path that mostly follows the road.
There was up to about 10 cm of wet snow on the path and a lot of fallen trees.

We walked this path to Jugorje near Metlika, in the autumn. Chestnuts in unlimited quantities, only the weather was rather rainy, no views.
