nasmehToday to the source of the Sotla River at Macelj from Rogatec...

mežikanje But that would be too short for a real ,,summer,, first October Sunday and for a smaller carbon footprint straight from Poljčane via landscape park Boč & Plešivec one longer circular...Boč today up to about 700 meters via Podboč, Golnik huts, Formile and climbing area, while Plešivec 822 m.a.s.l. today to the top...Descent from Plešivec done along and on the brotherly Styrian mountain path to Ravnocerje plateau...Descent to the valley today - directly down a very steep forest-gravel road to Sv. Florijan and I rode that for the first time today, as I usually descend to Strmec near Sv. Florijan...From Sv. Florijan asphalt classic to Rogatec and there connection to the above described route with correction at Hunting hut Lipovec, where I continued sharply right along the very bed - unfortunately almost dry Sotla on a varied forest road right along the Schengen border with the Republic of Croatia...Didn't meet police, neither ours... nor those from ,,their beautiful one,,. What would they do to me anyway, I had personal document with me and so continued towards the top but first to the source of the Sotla River under Macelj, where a small group of Croats from Krapina and Zabok had a real mežikanje picnic. Quite surprised but sausages from the grill of Croatian ,,guys,, and home-made pastry of young Croatian girls were super and their ,,bench,, two three sips of Jägermeister were perfect...After farewell from the young ones from the other side of Sotla still a jump to the top of Macelj - 717 meters high point Belinovec. Descent to Koserjeva hunting hut along the mountain path - high in Log was quite tough and I think I satisfied the signpost standards...Then followed descent partly on forest road and partly on asphalt road to Sv. Jurij or Donačka gora settlement...To the mountain hut I could climb by bike right on asphalt but I chose the proven variant on forest road from Strmec to the mountain hut...but I've written quite a bit about that...On descent from Donačka gora in Čermožiše settlement I'm always in a dilemma mežikanje whether towards Majšperk or Stoperc and then... line home along Dravinja to Poljčane...I wanted some more elevation and some more gravel - Stoperc was definitely logical choice...

velik nasmeh Total 95 kilometers and two thousand elevation in less than seven effective hours...Garmin messed up again but main part could be read...Chestnuts on the ground on ascent to Macelj in ,,tons,, and I picked some... - just boiled while writing I eat but since I'm local patriot - they are good, but over ,,bočke & plešivske,, none...Almost entire route of today's path I somehow knew - partly from hiking or MTB. Novelty was besides the already described direct descent to Sv. Florijan also the section between Koserjeva hunting hut and Sv. Jurij...Roads and paths I'd say quite more than less rugged...

Again but this year first MTB to the source of the Sotla River at Macelj in a somewhat sharper combination via Boč & Donačka gora. Yes as I already wrote this area mežikanje somehow marked by the group from Rogatec...Video. To Ravnocerje plateau not exactly on the easiest line but still more ,,light,, variant., while from Ložnega onward I continued on practically one of the hardest variants with few km and ,,high,, elevation. Terrains quite nicely soaked and slippery after rain. A bit less than 1500 elevation meters, which I ,,nailed,, in 28 km. Somehow the hardest part of the path today was between Vrhe pass and Koserjeva hunting hut. Somehow I mežikanje connected the railway stations in Poljčane and Sv. Rok ob Sotli as suitable ,,eco,, starting points into one complete story. Met practically no one except ,,hunters,, who were shooting at targets at Koserjeva hunting hut.

nasmeh Still return and need to complicate the route a bit - especially to Boč summit and via ,,Studeniško-kostrivniški threshold,, and include some summit or point along the way for 2000-2500 elevation in 45 km. ,,Room up to eight-hour shift in bushes and rocks,, between Poljčane and Sv. Rok ob Sotli is still quite some and Garmin range currently that much. From important summits I was only on 717 m Veliki Belinovec and a bit before it quite ,,by the way,, on 707 m high Veliki Diplavec. Temperature very pleasant. Return on asphalt via Rogatec - Rogaška bypass, Podplat and Pečice back to Poljčane. Total 5:20 gross time, 1470 m elevation/39.80 km between Poljčane and Sv. Rok ob Sotli. Regards
