If anyone plans to go to the source of the Tolminka, I'm letting you know you can only drive up to the first TNP sign. On the left is the little church of St. Peter.
They've closed the road to traffic and set up a bus line that only starts at 9 am from Tolmin. From nine??? Obviously they only thought of those going to Javorca and forgot everyone else going further into the mountains.
That's an extra 6km one way! So extra two hours+ both ways? If you're heading towards Krn it's worth thinking about.
I get the rush to Javorca, but they could arrange something different for those going further.

Yes, I checked last week when the plan was there. Worse than Italian cable car operators, who start very late too (only for tourists)

The announcement mentions closure after 8am > period 25.6.-4.9.2022 all days 8.00-19.00; 5.9.-2.10.2022 Saturdays, Sundays, holidays 8.00-17.00.

The bus has been running like that for the fourth year. When we went to Krn via the pastures on a Friday two years ago, the Tolmin municipality couldn't tell us if we could go up before that time and return during the closure. They only said it's closed just with a sign. The bus driver only asked us on the way back if we could go ahead of him.

Trentarski, docepe2, no time is mentioned in the announcement-complete road closure every day from 25.6. onwards until September. Exceptions are owners....

Miran, on the above link (Tolmin municipality) the exact timetable is written when they have permission for the closure. Elsewhere they often omit it...

Can someone confirm if the hand-operated cableway across Tolminka (to get to Planina Prode) is operating normally.
