Spacal Trail is named in memory of Karst painter Jože Spacal. It starts in Škrbina on the Karst, where the painter lived and worked, he is also buried there. It ends in Štanjel, where his works are exhibited in Spacal Gallery.
The trail is 12 km one way, need to add the return. Very little elevation gain, so suitable for everyone. Mostly follows gravel roads, asphalt and forest paths are just a sample. Plenty of thematic markers, at junctions sometimes advisable to look carefully. No special views, villages it passes through are the diversion. Ideal for cyclists all year round, hikers I recommend cooler months.
