@primoza
Thanks for the idea to visit the almost forgotten corners of our youth.

Tolsta gora, Špica and surrounding peaks also ruled in the sun today and offered beautiful views to visitors.

What kind of earthworm. Reminds me of Bear Grylls' "culinary" feat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uj9CysSSsps

Bon appetit. jezik

Hi. Well today we finally set off for Špica and specifically from Perovo, to the double bends, a bit higher then again through the forest to the clearing. Up to here the path is pretty well cleared, but when you enter the forest from the clearing again, you kinda stop to figure out where to go. Trees are lying all over the place, but with a little effort our 6-year-old managed too, though he had the least problems. When you reach the road up top again, it's all cool all the way to the top of Špica. For descent we chose the path to the castle, then to the mills. Already when you step into the forest from the clearing under the castle, it surprises you again, what mother nature can do. You get to the mills bp, further it's totally impassable. So we picked the path that goes from near the mills directly to Perovo. Didn't feel like going back. Anyway this path wasn't much better, but carefully, slowly with some climbing technique we overcame all obstacles, despite our almost one-and-a-half-year-old Sara whom I carried. In short we survived a nice day, at home everything went in the washer. Well can't fight mud either. Regards nasmeh

Some photos from yesterday's trip Rudnik pri Radomljah - Tolsta gora - Vrtače - Zgornje Palovče - Čeh - Rudnik pri Radomljah.
The path I walked is dry, otherwise mostly unmarked.
Regards, Tadej

What a cute little sweetie. No mistake: the cute Šija is meant - not the proud dad. One of the future alpinists. First climbing steps in pic 1 are already there. nasmeh

Since you're out in nature a lot you know there are lots of mice this year. Constant rustling in the leaves when I walk in the brush. That's why big risk of mouse fever too. This year besides ticks gotta watch this too. Already seen some dead mice, quite noticeable.
But your kids are really cool otherwise, lucky with choosing their moms who gave you cute kids nasmeh

Today I didn't feel like going high anywhere, so I walked from home to the reserve hut at Velika Lašna.
On the way there across the town and on the sunny side under the Špica summit. The path continues across Straža, to Lancar and on to Vrtača. Just before Vrtača the first real snow appears and the view to Grintovci. I continue to the hunting hut where an even nicer view to both sides opens. North are Grintovci, south a sea of fog all the way to Snežnik. From here I climb up to Krog and look for a view into the Ljubljana basin. Then descent to Zapolje where in the bottom of this karst field there is the most snow on the whole path, ca 30 cm.
At the reserve hut it's a pleasant 12°C. I eat breakfast and return to the valley.
On the return, I skip Krog, before Lancar I turn towards Tolsta gora and while descending winter reality hits me. Again -2°C and I hurry from the shade towards home, to the warm.
It was nice to enjoy the apparent spring.nasmeh
