Spodnja Šplevta 2046m

There are quite a few peaks with this name around here, yesterday I visited the last one, named Lower Šplevta. Armed with altimeters I set out from Vrata into a nice sunny morning. Already down below I deliberately turned left, as I tried to locate the unknown peak, but here the whole Šplevta is one smooth wall. I suggest to potential visitors ascent past Brinova glava and somewhere at height 1800m leave the trail, and climb left into steep grass. The peak is actually the lowest distinct elevation in the lower part of Šplevtin's ridge, which quite successfully defends intruders with its difficult accessibilityvelik nasmeh
I thus reached the summit of Šplevta 2272 past bivouac II from the west side. Along the ridge, which at the start is very friendly, one has to descend more than 200m height difference. In the lower part difficulty quickly increases and if you strictly stick to the ridge, it needs to be literally ridden at a few spots. At the summit there's space for one butt, the backpack would almost have to stay on the back. Return is a bit easier, and some scree is welcome.
Since the weather was excellent, time plenty, I also visited Dovški križ. Return again past bivouac with scree express.

I'll describe the two-day tour here, because Spodnja Šplevta was the hardest.
On Monday I drive all morning to Mojstrana, there were quite a few traffic jams and a bit after 10.30 I finally walk along the long road to Poldov rov. I tried hitchhiking, but no luck. At 12.00 I start from the road towards the bivouac, which I reach in 2.5 h, in between I shelter a 15-minute thunderstorm in a cave by the path, so I wasn't wet. In the bivouac I shelter 1.5 h because of heavy rain. Late afternoon it clears up and I go to Šplevta, still a bit doubtful about the weather. Still, I try for Oltar, which I reach nicely without major issues, only at the entry to the first part I was misled by "abandoned" trekking poles and went over rocks instead of the small gully. From the top the view opened in all directions. Clouds also gradually disappeared. Then I carefully descend to the bivouac, where I spend the night, again alone.
In the morning to Suhinjec, which is marked in OSM under Spodnji Rokav. Access to it is not demanding, from the scree you need to take a nice grassy ledge that leads to a grassy shoulder and then to the narrow grassy summit. Then to Dovški križ. The path is nicely marked. On the descent I check out Šplevtin ridge and Spodnja Šplevta tempts me.
I go once more over Šplevta and through nice grasses to the next little summit which is not yet the top, where I leave my backpack. Then along and on the ridge, which is quite steep down to the notch. Only a few 10 meters separate us from the top, but it's quite broken. Over nice slabs I reach the shaggy edge, then a bit tricky step to the next rock, then just the straddling part which I bypass lower above the bushes, then really broken little ridge on the south side to the top. On top there's really almost no space. I descend very carefully to the notch, then along the level to the grassy ramp that nicely brings me to the backpack, more in the pictures. But this route is undoubtedly easier because it's shorter.
Since a thunderstorm is approaching, I quickly climb to Brinova glava, detour a bit in between. I wanted to go to another summit by the road called Kreda, but it's a huge hard-to-access boulder which I didn't go to because I was in a hurry for the bus. At Koča pri Peričniku a heavy downpour hits me, which soaks me all the way to the bus stop in Dovje, then same story again. No bus jezen, then I wait for the bus to Jesenice, then train, in the end call a taxi again...

Thanks to both.
The thing with buses not coming is already standard practice. So many times I'm in trouble not knowing what to do except call an expensive taxi or bivouac one more night...

Ecological tour? What will you come up with next?
I hope we won't have to buy CO2 coupons for mountain ascents. zavijanje z očmi

I think that's quite the wet dream of certain officials... say local sheriffs, those who invent such crazy fees for mountain visits. So, install counters on all visitors' mouths/noses and count consumed air...zadrega
