Spodnja Vrbanova špica

Early in the morning I set out from Kot valley along the Rekar path to Lower Vrbanova Špica. It started with fog, continued with sun and ended with rain. There was just enough to wet the smooth rocks and make descent much harder. I planned to go also to Upper Vrbanova Špica and Stanič Hut, but changed my mind because of the weather. The mountains were nicely visited despite bad weather.

After a long time again on Lojze Rekar's path. In the company of Tinky and Matej we set off from Kot, and circled Lower Vrbanova Špica 2299m asl, High Vrbanova Špica 2408m asl, Begunjski peak 2461m asl and then to Dom Valentina Staniča under Triglav. Weather as ordered, on Rekar's path all cables ok, just on the way back some sliding rocks lower down towards Kot.

Well thanks. I don't know exactly where the path goes but it looks mostly dry to me. From Stanič towards Kot down probably not walkable without gear. To high Vrbanova along the ridge there's already snow. I'll probably go this weekend to check up to the lower one.

Again in these parts, from Kot to SVŠ via Lojze Rekar's path and further towards Upper, descent past Stanič hut and back to Kot. Chain in Kot quite ok, the path itself to tree line very slippery due to lots of moisture, further BP, all aids ok, quite some visits. Helicopters... and panoramic planes nonstop flying over Triglav, very annoying... Otherwise day fully used, you recharge your batteries smile lpm
