Nice, it just surprises me a bit that you went in "reverse", although those paths are described in the opposite direction. Well, as anyone likes.

The reverse is due to snow on Pohorje when at the end of April I decided it would be cool to walk this path once fully. Well, and some warmth after this winter I needed . And so for first part of SPP I chose path from Ankaran to Senožeč. This was its continuation.

@miri ... That's a hill somewhere on the opposite side of Idrija seen from Hlevška planina. Am I right??? I was in those parts for the first time anyway

Bagi, nice hike (journey)! And a comment on the pics, 16 - my homestead, in background Govci with Poldanovec on the right, pic 17 "Žontajše", pic 18 - in background Govci in the middle "Žontajše" pic 19 - on "Trahavi rawan". If you're hiking by here again, drop by us.
PS in quotes is the local pronunciation!

@Swiss...thanks for the invite . When I'm around there again I'll drop by. Now it was my first time and really nice places. But the trees have been broken so badly it's sad to look at  . I was even more surprised by the scattered electrical grid and that so many houses are powered by generators. That's sadly no longer on TV, no longer topical. It will get fixed, I don't doubt

From today (21 June 2014) the last part of SPP between Razdrto and Senožeče is cleared of ice storm consequences too. Diligent markers from PD Sežana have thus cleared and made passable the entire SPP route on the section Razdrto - Senožeče - Vremščica. All hiking trails managed and maintained by PD Sežana are cleared of fallen trees and passable. The SPP section from Razdrto - Senožeče - Vremščica - Škocjan Caves - Artviže and Markovščina, cared for and managed by PD Sežana, their markers fully restored and newly marked it last summer. For ten years it's been exemplarily equipped with new signs.

Mid-June my friend and I hiked the SPP from Koča pri Izviru Soče to Ankaran (without Krn) and we'd like to publicly thank all the hut keepers on this trail here, who all had an excellent feel for tired hikers, which made our long and strenuous hike much easier. When we called that we were late, they assured us we wouldn't go hungry, when it turned out there'd be no inns or shops on the way, they prepared XXXL sandwiches for us, they came to the hut because of us even when they didn't have to or ordered us to make coffee ourselves in the morning when they weren't at the hut. In ten days we only had to sleep in the winter room once and there we got precise instructions where to get the ladder and how to manage. And of course we didn't go hungry any evening or morning. Dear keepers, really THANKS, because everything can be arranged with you! And let this info encourage those thinking about hiking SPP and worried how to organize overnight stays, like we were before departure.
