The SREČNO trail was officially opened just in October this year and quickly made it to our wishlist. It connects four mining municipalities, hence named after the typical miners' greeting. Start in Laško, finish in Zagorje ob Savi. According to the presentation board, the trail is 29.7 km long with 1640 elevation gain. Our Garmin surprisingly measured a solid 200 elevation meters less.

There are plenty of trail markings everywhere, plus info boards at every mining site. These show mining history in near and far surroundings and are very interesting for the uninitiated. I am already among them velik nasmeh

. From Zagorje we set off on foot to the railway station and took the train back to Laško. It runs often enough on weekends too, so no trouble with return to start. More in photo story …

@Kafetarca ... all together with one longer break in Hrastnik, sightseeing of sights along the path and walk to train we hiked nine and a half hours. Enjoy the way nasmeh

Today on hike with great company.

Event well organized, sorry I brought food as stations and goodies there were at right spots so felt full all way velik nasmeh

Sunny day great hike will see again. Lots of people!

Only remark on organization:
last stamp in municipality Zagorje ob Savi awkward spot think some of us missed station gives last stamp. Sensible to put last stamp right at end of path.
