Today I planned to go to Vrtača, but didn't visit it due to fog and clouds covering all peaks in the area until noon. Besides, strong and unpleasant wind was blowing, so I had the dog on a leash like a flag in the wind (joke!) - almost true..
Instead I visited Middle Summit, Triangle, and also Lower Plot (if I read right). Met some cute locals too.
Hope the wind calms in the next days (used gloves too)
Road to Tinkova hut (started lower from pasture) now smooth - no ruts. So come on folks! Well yeah..

There were two. Total babies. Hope they cared for them (called dir. Slovenian hunting assoc.- it's Zlatorog area), and later also Tržič hunting society where they assured case is known or under control. Sure didn't touch them. (Forbidden as roe mother wouldn't touch them anymore then).

Roe deer are unusual, look like Bambi.

Yes very small they were; otherwise don't know difference between small roe deer and Bambi. Isn't that same thing?
Just hope nothing bad happened to them.

Today from Žaga below Tinkova hut aiming for Middle Summit, but due to lots of snow on the path (no winter gear), plans changed towards Zelenica and Lower Plot..
Road to Tinkova hut a bit worse, but drivable.
At Zelenica above hut at Završnica spring (ski area) still plenty snow, about a dozen and a half touring skiers in the whole area. Rockfalls on north side of Begunjščica (watch out!).
Path to Plot snowy- collapsing, slipping.. (careful on descent)
Also spotted visitors on Vrtača.
..Slowly mountaineering season approaching.

Today started from Tinčkova hut past hut at Završnica spring, then to Šija saddle and to Middle Peak summit, reached in under an hour. A bit below Šija saddle snow on path, practically to the top which is windswept and very unpleasantly crusty almost to knees, sometimes breaks to butt, so great care where to step. I was in shorts and had no major issues. Nice views from top to nearby Stol, Begunjščica, Vrtača,.. Short, but nice afternoon hike mežikanje

Middle Peak - Zelenica...
today something for Žak and Ira. Start at Tinčkova hut, then past hut at Završnica spring up to Šija saddle and Middle Peak. Path from saddle to summit quite muddy. Continued over scree towards Zelenica, past Završnica spring, back to car. I think this is the nicest time. Grass sprinkled with tiny flowers, towards Zelenica also gentians. Dog and I enjoyed, bye Majda nasmeh

....Lower Plot, Triangle, Zelenica....The cross on the rock visible from afar has attracted me for a long time. And you're there quickly, access to Plot not too demanding. Through tall grass to small ridge. But must be careful everywhere, don't underestimate the mountain. From Ljubelj towards Zelenica yesterday a column of hikers was winding. All two-thousanders probably very crowded. Lower Plot and Triangle were deserted. Nice views up there. Trails and peaks everywhere. Nice around Zelenica, can choose direction for your step, good luck nasmeh

- It's beautiful when the sun lights up the mountains and gives them special charm

- Dom na Vrtači, they also have ice cream

- Cross on Spodnji Plot visible from afar

- Morning greeting of the sun over Košutica

- The path to Begunjščica is nicely visible

- Srednji vrh, Stol, Julijci in the background too

- Already kimata saying goodbye - kosmatinca

- Along the cart track - back to the hut

Lower Plot deserted again today. Morning fog in the valley at Ljubelj, then icy further on, a real "winter" fairy tale. At Zelenica 10-15 cm new snow gifted by ice men. On return, snow melting decently in lower areas.
