Today for a necessary dose of fresh air to St. Anna from Ribnica past the Caving Hut. Snow is just enough to make it white, path icy in places, later in the morning when the sun got strength, mostly muddy. Nice sunny winter day.

Starting point is Seljan Farm which we reach from Ribnica, past Inlesa factory buildings. On macadam we drive past the turn-off to Francetova Cave (caving hut), and past the large landfill, where we turn sharply left. Soon we reach farmer Seljan, where we leave the car. Continue straight into the forest on the marked path. Along the path we can see educational signs and in less than an hour of walking we are at the top, where there is a church and a bit further a small mountain hut. If we continue following the marks past it, we reach Sten Sv. Ane in a quarter of an hour on an easy path, with nice view of Kočevski Rog forests and Struška valley. Elevation difference is 300 m.
In dry weather this trip is also suitable for children.

I hadn't been to St. Anna before today. To the hut the path is normally passable except for some fallen trees. Further to Sten St. Anna the path is practically impassable due to fallen trees. The hut was open because of Labor Day holiday. Pleasant trip at just right temperatures.
