Today to St. Michael on Pečica from starting point Lovnik. Short hiking activity in the area that's on ,,the cusp,, between Maribor and Celje regions. Interesting spot for a short trip near two peaks Nunska gora and Kopiškov breg. Path easy and without peculiarities.

Of course St. Michael was a bit too little for Thursday afternoon so we extended to the 546 m high Nunska gora and the 521 m high Kopiškov breg - ,,Kopi(v)šjek,,. Kopiškov breg is interesting because of the naming, as in this part of Slovenia peaks are not named with the addition ,,breg,,. Solitary approach along the ridge and this certainly was not wasted time but additional insight into the somewhat more southern part of connections between Boč and Konjiška gora. In a very short distance we moved practically in the area of four administrative units. GPS track:Sv. Mihael, Nunska gora and Kopiškov breg, 10.01.2013 Regards

Today 28.03.2013 circular hiking activity that you probably do once and likely never again...From starting point ,,Panzeršpere,, along the hiking trail to pass Pečica. From pass Pečica continue towards church St. Michael. During ascent also a jump to 538 m high point or summit above path Vrhovnica on which I was for the first time. Vrhovnica is the only distinct summit between Galkami to the east and St. Michael to the west. Track:Vrhovnica & Farovška hosta, 28.03.2013 During descent from St. Michael to Lovnik still quite sharp or steep but short ascent to point or summit Farovška hosta - height 506 m on which also first time and it is east of the higher Kopiškov breg. It is also the tripoint of three administrative units or municipalities. From Lovnik along the road back to starting point in the valley of stream Bela at Panzeršpere. Trails partially snowy, also had to break trail for quite a few kilometers and partially muddy. From both summits practically no views. Below Vrhovnica there are some houses or weekend cottages - gorcs meanwhile Farovška hosta is a typical ,,hunters',, point. Partly cloudy and some wind in strong thaw. Regards

13.04.2013 afternoon activity from Poljčane via Lovnik to St. Michael on Pečica. Path still partially wet, slightly windy and sunny. This time for a change with mountain bike and it was quite pleasant. On return also through Panzeršpere to the pass above Zgornji Gabernik or junction of hiking trail via Galke to Boč. Track:St. Michael, 13.04.2013 Regards

Hiking activities in winter time of course also excellent opportunity for ,,scouting,, terrains and potential cycling combinations and today MTB realization in one rounded whole or connection of four summits which are high between 500 and 550 meters - Farovška hosta, Kopiškov breg, Nunska gora and Vrhovnica with common note St. Michael on Pečica which marks this world about which I have already written quite a bit in previous posts. At the end still some connection with Boč on the path through Galke and Panzeršpere. Track:St. Michael & surroundings, 18.05.2013 In just over a kilometer or two I also connected four administrative units, because this is a distinct world on ,,the cusp,, of the path - Slovenska Bistrica, Slovenske Konjice, Šmarje pri Jelšah and Šentjur pri Celju. Šentjur pri Celju surprise a few months ago as I didn't expect it to ,,wedge,, so far into the world towards Boč...Some things had to be bypassed due to terrain difficulty. Paths partially dry and partially muddy, weather clear and temperature pleasant for ,,logging,, afternoon activity...Regards

Today by bike ,,broke,, the monotony of a sultry day along the murmuring stream between Lovnik and St. Michael. The valley along the stream is narrow and night coolness holds well through the day. Also stop at the spring which they rearranged a bit and pleasant refreshment was provided...Continuation towards Dolga gora, Zbelovska gora...for a pleasant end of the day...Nice and interesting to discover points in extremes...like somewhere around +35 and -20 °C. Definitely one point and two views depending on the season and one of the more interesting sides of hiking/cycling. Of course this year due to good moisture in winter and spring time vegetation is distinctly lush...Regards

By bike from Poljčane to St. Michael on Pečica for light training and also at the drinking water spring a short stop and refreshment. For some "story", a quick decision for connection to the Dominican convent complex in Studenice via settlement Podboč, Pritensko, old Roman road...Pečica- Studenice and also drinking water spring. A few days ago some research on possible historical connection of both points but found nothing more concrete. Of course today with the help of recreation you can connect two points into miniature activity and also water from two springs can be a connecting thread. Life somehow by itself, even randomly writes stories. Paths dry, temperature pleasant, partly cloudy... Regards

Connection Dolga gora/turnoff to St. Michael and Lipoglav/junction with Loško-Zbelovska path as seen is not marked although Geopedia recognizes this path under ID13986...Source Last Saturday I was somewhere on this connection from Dolga gora to Lipoglav but there was no proper continuation, while the section from Dolga gora railway station to Dolga gora settlement and St. Michael is excellently marked.

To Dolga gora by train. Pleasant station, decades ago it was called Lipoglav. Start and immediately direction to Pečica. Since colleague Vinko who joined me today hasn't been to Sladka gora for a while, we extended to this nice place with Mary's church. From there pleasant ascent, not too strenuous, unfortunately asphalt predominates to Pečica up to the most prominent point - church of St. Michael. After short view descent to Poljčane side to the valley of Bela stream to Lovnik settlement. From Lovnik ascent to Ljubično, church of St. Mary and extension to the cross at Mary's footsteps. Quick entry in the book and turn to Poljčane. Today along one of the traditional paths, directly above quarries below peak Strmec to Zgornje Poljčane…Since we were a bit fast, still extension via Podboč settlement to Studenice across Pritensko, also to Studeniški grad and extension to left bank of Dravinja to St. Lucija. From Studenice via conglomerate of educational paths to Spodnje Poljčane and finish in Poljčane to railway station and home... Pleasant, though cold, frost pressing, frozen in sheltered spots, paths partly slippery. Orientation relatively easy despite night hours, we know the terrain quite well...Interesting combination, pre-holiday Advent time and insight into somewhat expanded lower world between Boč and Konjiška gora partly also off optimal paths. Quite some kilometers, not too many elevation gains...above all excellently used evening time. Really, it was pleasant... Path track:Dolga gora - Poljčane/večerno-nočna,11.12.2014

Connection of Dolga gora and Poljčane, neighboring railway stations in evening hiking activity. Of course, connection somewhat "stretched" for better insight into the space... Also quite some hiking and thematic paths on the entire route. Foggy in higher areas, light rain and of course high humidity. To Dolga gora with help of Slovenian Railways. Connection also of three basic points...St. Michael on Pečica, St. Mary on Ljubično and Studenice. Across Ljubično west/east typical ridge traverse between Cross at Mary's footsteps and Zgornje Poljčane...Studenice via Podboč with colleague Vinko who joined added for more concrete insight and somewhere basic mini "touch" of Boč...Fog was at times quite dense but no orientation problems/domestic terrain...Terrains very wet and partly muddy. Correction gave final 23.20 kilometers, elevation under thousand meters and exactly pleasant it was. Path track...Poljčane - Dolga gora/evening,21.01.2015

A few kilometers from Poljčane, no longer Maribor area but already Celje area for a few hundred meters. Definitely suitable for a visit by bike from Lovnik and so it was. Pleasant quiet spot, somewhat away from main roads but on the long longitudinal ridge of Pečica also interweaving of numerous paths and connections between Šmarsko, Konjiško, Bistriško and Šentjursko areas. About 500 meters of elevation measured at the church. Right temperature, path dry, although forest road above Lovnik somewhat ,,beat up,, due to log extraction. When you want perhaps two, three hundred meters of elevation gain, you have an hour... just the right thing... Path track:Pečica/Sv. Mihael,30.05.2015 & Strava/Poljčane - Sv. Mihael - Zgornje Poljčane,30.05.2015 Regards
