From Vrata I first climbed via Luknja to Pihavec. I descended along the marked path to Dovških vrat. Towards Vrata I descended another 80 vertical meters, that is above Sovatno (2100m). There turn left (east), first across grass then across scree slopes to a well-visible grassy spur. Up a very steep grassy passage I ascend to the SE Stenar ridge. It is also possible to reach it via rocks completely to the right (at least II). Via easy scrambling I continue to Turn pod Stenarjem, I ascend it via a grassy passage (steep). I continue via scrambling to the next unnamed summit in the ridge (2381m). Then follows ridge climbing to the summit of Stenar (up to -II). Above the steepest part on the ridge flattening there is another short harder step (-II), step left and easy scrambling to the summit. I descended along the marked path to Pogačnikov dom and then via Sovatno to Vrata.
