Yesterday I set off from the Branice valley towards Stjak. This is a village on the ridge between the Vipava valley and the Rasa valley. The views are really beautiful, from Trnovski gozd, Nanos and the vast Karst. I walked the path along the asphalted road, almost no traffic. The path goes through the villages Selo, Stjak, Gradišče, Vrabce, Veliko Polje, Dolenja vas and ends at Senožeče. Since I was in Senožeče already at 14 o'clock, I went up to Vremščica and down past the Divaca airfield to Divaca for the train. I recommend the trip to everyone, especially cyclists. I forgot the camera at home, so I have no pictures.

Oh, this one was longer than strenuous, if you don't count the walking on asphalt. The only effort was the ascent to Vremščica, which was surely rewarded with the lush flowers adorning it. lp

True, not by chance the Slovenian name for June is rožnik.

Štjak, Selo ahh skomini. At Vrheh (locals call it "Švici" ) I spent my childhood. Nice places, yes. On such a tour it is almost mandatory to visit also the Raša river valley, ruins of the old mill, bathe in the pools at the Raša spring...
