Stoperška planinska pot

On Sunday hiking with a buddy from Poljčane via Boč and Plešivec to Ravnocerje plateau, where we joined the Stoperška Hiking Trail in the direction - St. Anna - Stoperce - Winettu valley - Jelovice - Dol pri Stopercah - Kupčinji vrh - Rudijev hut on Donačka Gora... and then descent to Rogatec... 3/4 of the Stoperška Hiking Trail in a somewhat longer combination in the sun, on dry terrain and quite a few sections hiked for the first time.

With the addition along the Stoperška Hiking Trail the route between Poljčane and Rogatec was extended by 12 km but it was interesting to discover this piece of Slovenia a bit more north between Boč and Donačka Gora, off the established and mass-hiked paths.

The section over Jelovice from Winettu to Dol pri Stopercah runs distinctly through forest and fairly pristine nature...

Today the whole Stoperška hiking trail ,,in one go,, at hiking pace in circular variant Winettu - Dežno pri Makolah - Sv. Ana - Ložno - Strmec pass - Rudijev dom on Donačka gora - Kupčinji vrh - Dol pri Stopercah - Jelovice - Winettu in sunny weather.

Terrain partly soggy and partly frozen or dry at 6 degrees Celsius. Today correction and also section from Winettu via Dežno pri Makolah to church Sv. Ana fully marked and thus we avoid asphalt road between Winettu and Stoperce - true, it is not for stamp collectors, but in my opinion very suitable for fast hikers and mountain runners...

Highest point of the trail is Jelovice 623 m.a.s.l., which is also the highest peak of Haloze and together a surprising 1250 elevation meters on Haloze ,,slopes and gullies,,.

Did some more nasmeh browsing sources on Stoperška hiking trail and found interesting fact about two mežikanje Reseniks practically right on the path. First known to me for some time and years ago went to it by MTB as part of longer path but not quite to top which is 735m high and locally ,,harvester,, Resenik. Meanwhile second Resenik unknown to me at 569m height - one would say ,,stoper-makole,, located near path between church Sv. Ana and farm Vrhovski.

Perhaps in future mežikanje or not hiking, in one common story of ,,expanded,, Stoperška hiking trail length over... 30 km.

Today nasmeh as part of longer path with MTB...would say what!? finally ascent to 569m high Resenik between Makole and Stoperce...On it not exactly mežikanje much life seen but still worth visit if someone hikes Stoperška hiking trail...
