Morning start at the hut at Pristava, don't know why they start operating only at 10 a.m. zmeden

Through Trilobit, along Medji dol to planina Seča and then along the Austrian side to the 1944 m summit called Bärentaler Kotschna, on Struska full of auriculas and marmots.
Then down, through all the turns and searching for shortcuts to Golica, well of course if there were any. nasmeh

Weather conditions pleasant, narcissuses blooming, though snow and frost ruined some, but in some areas they're barely opening.
Crowded on Golica and at the hut, of course like every year this time.

Those beautiful Karavanke! Something similar I walked on 18.4... only that Golica peak slipped from me due to avalanches... Started halfway between Javorniški rovt and Križnik.. first to Belska planina... then to Struška peak - Veliki vrh. The view towards Golica was so tempting that I trudged there too... on the ridge of course swapped snowshoes for crampons... Managed to reach the eastern peak of Krvanjek, 1784 m... descent back towards Križnik..... very nice all-day tour in wonderful weather!

They already are.

Of course they will, but on Golica there are none yet, but they are blooming lower - in the rovts.

On Friday via HE Javorniški Rovt - Medji dol - Pl. Seča - Struška - Sedlo Suha - Golica - Jekljevo sedlo - Hruški vrh - Rožca - Jeseniška pl. - Pl. pod Golico - Javorniški Rovt.
The path is well marked and normally passable.
It was a nice day surrounded by flowers and views.

Dolkova špica and Škrlatica and in front Rokavi

Klek, left Hruški vrh and right Dovška Baba

Mali and Veliki Draški vrh, Tosc, Bohinjska vratca and Vernar

That was a tour. I also wandered around there these days. Really wonderful. Food for the soul.
But I have a question. Is there a shortcut from Pristava in Javorniški Rovt to Trilobit hut or do you have to go by road. I went by road, because I don't know these parts well yet.

The walk is the same as described above by bos, so I'll just add my opinion that I thought it would be shorter and with less elevation - of course before leaving I didn't look much, didn't even know that bos had done it recently. Regarding markings, it seems to me from Planina pod Golico to Javorniški Rovt there are lots of paths, but practically no markings. There are some signs at Planina pod Golico, then it's more 'find your way as you know and can'. I didn't feel like fussing too much and searching which cart track or path, so I asked a few times.

Would ask for fresh info if anyone has it. Is the road icy to the parking at Križovec, or not? Can go up without worry, or need a wilder approach. Thanks in advance for reply.

You can drive normally to Križovec, to Belska plain it's well trodden, I even walked in sneakers. To Veliki vrh there's untouched snow, no trail either, so I changed into boots.

Footpath to Kočna saddle also full of collapsing snow, to Golica along the ridge it's partially trodden, the part where the ridge path joins the path from the hut is well trodden to the top.

Despite spring in the valley it's still real winter in the mountains. 😊
