I'm deciding to buy a sports watch: Suunto Ambit 2 or Garmin Fenix 2. I would be grateful for opinions, experiences, arguments for or against one or the other model. Thanks.

Hello,
recently I was in the same dilemma, but I decided for the Fenix2.. My experiences with it:
1. I already have quite a few Garmin things and can connect them nicely among themselves
2. via bluetooth I can sync the watch with the phone
3. The GPS signal is found in a couple of seconds
4. on a tour where the watch is non-stop connected to satellite or searching for it, the battery lasts about 12h
5. I like the ABC variant (compass, barometer and thermometer)
6. possibility to load map (adapted for watch)
7. ... personally fully great

I have Fenix-1. And the next one will surely be Fenix-2.

I'm interested where to buy a strap for Suunto watch (I bought the watch 4 years ago at Hervisu). Thanks for the advice!

I got it at the Lečnik watch shop in Ljubljana, they are the distributor for Suunto. Contact them.
