Sv. Križ/Gaj nad Mariborom & Petnikov vrh

Colleague Ivan from the Running Forum pointed out some more curiosities of the described trail/path. The monument at Gaj should be a joint monument to the fallen of the first and second world wars, I photographed it,  read quite superficially. Bunker under Bobič which my colleague and I didn't notice and should be part of Rupnik line from before the 2nd world war, which towards the northern border wasn't built so pronouncedly, the sweet specialty of these places - cottage cheese/walnut potica, let's try  next time and more forested path towards Večernik, well we stuck to some marked path and maybe something else... We skipped somewhat higher Pohernikov vrh, somewhat more to the left height 663 meters and somewhere planned to continue along ,,General Maister line,, to border stone no. X/99, which is somewhere closest to Maribor, if not mistaken by Geopedija. Probably visible at the bottom of ,,Germans' tongue,, which more and more distinctly digs into Slovenian space north/west above Gaj.
Well some curiosities, some challenge left and maybe return to these border areas... Pleasant, nice hiking Christmas/New Year's eve refreshment and viewing curiosities along the path. Maybe idea for some forum member to visit Pohernikov vrh and closest border point - border stone no. X/99. Regards
