This trail here isn't presented separately yet, so I'm sharing it. Today really wasn't the best day for a hike, because it was cloudy, it drizzled in between and it was lightly snowing towards Kališče. From the junction for Velika Polana there was also lots of snow. At the junction we turn right. This tour is nice in summer though. It takes about two to three hours.

We start at the first parking lot after the village of Bašelj at the first bend. Then we continue along the road for a couple of minutes, where the sign directs us left to St. Lovrenc. After twenty minutes we're at the hut on St. Lovrenc. Behind the hut the path soon brings us to the little church. Very nice view of the valley. Behind the little church then to the path to Kališče. The path goes quite steeply uphill through the forest and meadows. After an hour of quite strenuous walking we're at the junction for Velika Polana, right goes to Kališče. Further on there was lots of snow today. In winter I don't recommend this trail, because it also goes across steep hay meadows and there is avalanche danger, and you can get lost too. It takes a full hour to arrive at Kališče. Below Bašeljski vrh we stumble upon a little spring. At Kališče it was very lively, because there was the race - Six Hours of Kališče. Back via Planina Kališče to Košuta hospital. Here the path is bare and it doesn't take us more than a good hour, and we'll each still admire the auricles here for another week.

Sv. Lovrenc-Kališče Down across Planina Kališče, which is not far below the hut, then right to Bolnica Košuta at Gradišče, where one can drive and park.

Sv. Lovrenc-Kališče This path even has two sections of wire ropes as visible on the previous picture and even a bench with view somewhere in the middle of the path to Gradišče.

Sv. Lovrenc-Kališče Near Košuta hospital above the intersection where an unmarked path to Bašelj leads, blooming rock saxifrage only for about a week, then auriculas fade.

Sv. Lovrenc-Kališče Before the gully in which the hospital is hidden is the hospital cemetery. Last year when I passed by here, I didn't notice it.

I went again from St. Lovrenc to Kališče and down to Gradišče.

The hunting hut is hidden among the trees.

To Sv. Lovrenc straight along goat paths.

We didn't go all the way to Kališče because we were in a hurry for lunch, but to the viewpoint bench. In between we visited Lovrenc and the partisan hospital Košuta. Nice sunny day with little wind in the best and hairiest company nasmeh

Storžič, today it was flying down nicely.

Today again from St. Lovrenc to Kališče. The road from the last farm to the small parking at the spring is almost impassable, it's so torn up. Need to leave the vehicle lower. Follows a pleasant path to the church at St. Lovrenc and from there towards Kališče. At the bench – already high up – we turn right, left would go to Velika and Mala Polana. The path goes past the spring across Bašeljsko sedlo. From that spring we're at the hut on Kališče in less than half an hour. They had a huge number of visitors. Down along the right ridge (looking from below) to the gravel road. I went along the extreme left path – right after the junction there are wire ropes. The right path leads past Krtina hospital. This is a pleasant loop trail. It mostly runs in the shade, so it wasn't too hot.
