For the path from Bistrica ob Sotli to the Holy Mountains you have to count on a good 45 minutes. It's a fairly steep path, also called Verikala.

Last Sunday Eurohikers and other hiking enthusiasts gathered in Bistrica ob Sotli. They walked the path to the Holy Mountains and to Podsreda Castle. Interesting, nicely arranged places that they don't know. Whoever likes to walk gets to know many villages, paths and people.... In Bistrica ob Sotli there was also a gathering of Tomos moped enthusiasts. The place is nicely arranged, also quite a few interesting people from these places. Over 150 hikers, promotion and presentation of European walking paths and the Slovenian part. Two young women prepared a great cultural program. Paths are marked, from the initial somewhat steeper part, then no major ascents. Weather was April-like with sun, some rain, then sun again. Good view from this end of Slovenia, from Boč to Donačka gora. We gladly use the train where possible. Also Podsreda Castle is worth a visit, and Kozjanski regional park...
