On this cloudy and foggy day we head to Tamar. In much of the country it's snowing, in Planica we run into a hopeful sun ray. We're early, we meet no one on the path to the hut. In the mountain hut tea, snack, then we head towards the Black Waters. After a good 15 minutes walk we arrive at the waterfalls area. The central waterfall is formed, with the ice in the middle being light blue in color. There the ice cracks too. Water flows over the right waterfall, in the left arm of the central waterfall conditions are ideal. I poke a bit, a few photos (mainly avalanche that rushed over the right gully). Already heading back towards Planica, on the way some cross-country skiers, a couple of tourists. Conditions: path is trodden to the waterfalls, snow cover stability is fairly good, profile shows only 10 cm unbonded snow, we didn't need crampons, mostly observed small wind slab avalanches (avalanches of dry unbonded snow). The avalanche that came down the gully was big, I advise against walking to Vršič from Tamar. Regards
