Temperature next to the mountains

Hi! I'm new, but I'm interested in the temperature next to the mountains (I also looked through the "search" section but didn't find a specific answer, only that the temperature shown next to the mountains description is calculated so that GPS determines the location, and at that height shows what the actual temperature is). Now I'm wondering, is it really true that the temperature is measured that way (where it shows next to the mountains description)? And after how much time does it refresh? How accurate is it? etc... Thanks in advance for answers! Lp

Temperatures are calculated based on elevation above sea level, location and measured temperatures at some meteorological stations (e.g. Kredarica, Grossglockner, Rateče etc). That is, the data for Kredarica should be accurate. Places that are more distant from meteorological stations are less accurate. Data refreshes every 30 minutes.

Is this device in the picture for measuring temperature in the mountains or something similar? Taken at Pastirji below Kamniško sedlo
