Slatinski spring is located at the borehole of natural mineral water in Nuskova. Deep in the earth's interior, various gases (carbon dioxide and others) are released as the magma cools, which usually rise to the surface along faults. Gases can encounter layers of groundwater as they rise, in which they slowly begin to dissolve. During the dissolution of gases in water, a mild acid forms (hence the name "sour water"), which has a greater ability to dissolve rocks. Slightly acidic groundwater then dissolves minerals and enriches itself with them. Water enriched with macrominerals (e.g. calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium, chloride) and microminerals (e.g. iron, zinc, iodine and manganese) we call mineral water. Water from the Slatinski spring has a special smell, which is the consequence of the presence of sulfur oxide gas. At the spring and in the ditch you can notice the characteristic orange-red color of sediments, which represent iron oxide - rust and testify to the presence of iron in the water. The spring is not a natural phenomenon but was drilled in 1969 to a depth of 50 m. Excerpt from the analysis of natural mineral water: calcium: 470 mg/l, magnesium: 37 mg/l, potassium: 5.8 mg/l, chloride: 26 mg/l, sodium: 110 mg/l, hydrogencarbonate: 1760 mg/l. Yesterday's snapshots. After two years since opening some educational boards are already quite overgrown. Lp, Tadej

Such projects are known to me. Huge amounts of money are "thrown" into various boards and notices, then there is no one to care for these things. The only ones, I almost dare say, who care for maintained trails are our markacists. And for decades.
