The trip through Kot to Kredarica on 12.6. this year was still perfectly suitable for ski touring, and the weather perfect.
With all gear I rush into steep initial serpentines to Studenec, then another 160m to first snowfield at 1500m. To Debeleg kamen some sections on dry trail, higher again snowfield, right traverse with pegs dry, crossing above Pekel already quite icy and slippery, so there I walked, higher to Staničeva koča only on skis. Up there I arrived in a solid 4 hours. Around the hut still lots of snow, view of Očak was indescribable. Afternoon I also did test skiing on snow under Rž and to other side to Begunjska vrata to check valley behind Cmiri. At 8pm I wrapped myself in three blankets in bivouac and slept till 5am like a bear, till red horizon of new day finally wakes me. In frozen morning snow and avalanche debris parts from Kredarica I cross the traverse with crampons and ice axe. At 8am already hurrying back to Kot on skis. Trip was very nice in pure calendar summer and fully winter conditions under Triglav.nasmeh
