Continuation of the topic about time on hiking trips... important or not? The beginning refers to the ascent to Brana...

Yeah, you were pretty fast. I used to have from Kamniška Bistrica to Kamniško Sedlo 55min in my time when I trained karate. Keep it up, we'll follow you on Grintovec .

that makes you a machine, without looking around and snapping pics could be 58 and a half. for even less you'll need a bit more struggling.

Looks like time is important, otherwise it wouldn't be listed on every sign,... Even 10 minutes before the hut they stress about it.

Over time you realize that time is nonsense when you miss countless beauties.

Well, I wouldn't completely agree that the problem of measuring time is solvable so black/white. It's a waste of my keyboard to comment on redbull's behavior, but I can say for myself that it depends on the purpose why one goes to the mountains. I go up with different purposes, either (1) competing with myself and then I always measure time, (2) leisurely sports with a girlfriend photographing flora and admiring views, (3) thinking and "talking" to myself about future research projects, (4) combination of 2 and 3, (5) combination of 1 and 4, etc., etc. So I wouldn't judge others right away if their purposes don't match yours.

you got half like that, half different. When I intend to do a hike or admire beauties I go with high boots or low ones, but if I'm doing training for competition then there's less admiring beauties. Don't know why you can't understand it once. Strange really, if you'd at least use some brains best D

Hey redbull? Given that on no competition have you managed to score a better result than chasing the tail of the first third of competitors, even we who don't use brains get why you have to strut on the hiking one - not on some running forum. There are plenty you know, if you want I can send you a link

Hey redbull? As long as you diligently report conditions to us and attach nice and useful pictures, you can also report your achieved time, which seems completely OK to me.

Time is just a banal, superficial indicator of a certain route and a person's fitness. During training, besides time, more important is whether in that time segment of the tour I'm exhausted like a dog, or I completed the tour with controlled power distribution and calm breathing with some reserve or tactic, ego self-control with running in a state without thoughts and conditions. I too sometimes list data on MTB tours traveled, not for myself because others can be much faster, but so that the average occasional recreational has insight into some time compass about the tour and its planning.

Hey, but since I only started going to races last year, it's not that bad yet. Maybe if the legs hold and the knees hold up, it'll be much better in 5 years.
