The path to Smrekov vrh starts at Anina hut. I got here by bike from Mrzla Rupa. I park the bike in the bushes. The trail to the summit starts on the left side of the Vojsko - Nova Gorica road. It's unmarked though. At the beginning I can follow it, after a few meters it disappears, but I quickly find it again. I go along it in switchbacks up quite a steep slope. At the saddle there's a junction. Left goes the trail along the ridge to Golake. Right to Smrekov vrh. Soon the trail gets lost in pathless terrain. I go through it along the ridge, which takes me to the top. Here there's an old forest sign from Austro-Hungarian times. The summit is not cleared due to dense foliage of dwarf beeches. And I don't know why it's called Smrekov vrh, since there's no spruce anywhere hihihi. Maybe because it's above Smrekova draga. I descended along the northern ridge and made a kind of loop around this mountain. At the saddle I went back down to the start.
