Today (04.01.2014.) I was at this summit. I left the vehicle at Šoberjev dvor and continued through the village past the pond. I didn't take Pečenikova pot, continued on foot another twenty minutes and joined the path from Kamnice. This one climbs quickly through the forest which is mixed at the start, then completely spruce. This path ends at the Tojzl farm which also gave the name to the top. Here an exceptional view opens to northeast Prekmurje and eastern Styria (Stradner Kogel and Riegersburg), to the southeast Ravna gora and Ivanščica, and further Kalnik. I think that under exceptional atmospheric conditions one could see volcanoes near Balaton here too. At the top shock. Hut not open! And from the notice I learned that it's closed indefinitely, whatever that means. For descent I chose the next variant - back to Tojzl farm, then down to Šiker through spruce forest past the hunting lodge. This descent is nice, but the problem is that there's quite a walk back to Šoberjev dvor on asphalt. Shame the hut isn't open...

I have one question, if anyone knows how to get to the mountain stamps at Tojzlov vrh, since the hut is closed we should at least have access to the stamps, as the summit stamp and the one from the Kozjak path are there and I need at least the summit stamp, since I've gone up twice for nothing and it seems the stamps are locked in the hut which is not ok, unless someone knows if they moved them somewhere by chance?

I also started last year with the path over Kozjak, so posting the stamp locations would be very welcome. Last fall I did part of the path from MB to Žavcarjev vrh, stamps were in their places as per the logbook, but I must emphasize it was Sunday.

Joža, my girlfriend and I hiked the entire path over Kozjak last year and collected all stamps and also received the nice badge afterwards, so if you have any question about the path or stamps you can just write to me here on zs. Still wondering if anyone knows if the stamps are locked in the hut at Tojzlov vrh or if they moved them somewhere, I need the summit stamp?

04.01.2015. Tojzlov Peak This peak is somehow traditionally the first hike of the year. And so for more than five years... At Šober Court it was not possible to leave the vehicle (construction material and packed snow) so I left it at the start of the path to Žavcar Peak. Up the Pečenik path, down the Dremel path (not marked from above, need at rest place along the path mills and sawmill next to chapel to continue along the ridge to Dremel farm and then down). Unfortunately the hut was closed again... but only because I went early in the morning and arrived at 9. The hut opens at 10... Views along the path thanks to exceptional visibility very far - now I know that from Tojzla you can see Kalnik too (through forest at the spot where Pečenik path leaves cart track and goes steeply through forest). Shame I didn't go to Tojzl farm from where despite low height incredible view to Austria and east...

10.01.2015. Tojzlov Peak Also this year first hike to Tojzlov Peak... This tradition only since 2009... From Šober Court on foot all to path starting in Kamnica, but after ascent reaches Tojzl farm. Here despite relatively small height exceptional view, but fog. Ascent to hut which not open yet, but almost. Back on hunting path to Šiker and then again on foot on asphalt to car. Shame for nasty fog, went very early, later much sunnier day...
