The goal was Vrh nad Škrbino.... From Tolminske Ravne right after the wood to the left, on well-marked trail that also leads through steep gully, to junction with path from pl. Kal to pl. Razor, then blindly through brush to trail towards Škrbina plateau and from there to Podrta gora. Strong wind, in gusts, occasionally bone-chilling cold, at turnoff to Vrh nad Škrbino ice. With crampons uncomfortable, without them deadly... so after view to Bohinj side and photos, descent to pl. Razor. Wind didn't calm, getting stronger, blew away thought of ascent to Vrh nad Škrbino from south side. From pl. Razor by short variant to starting point and narrow winding road where no way to meet another vehicle nasmeh

home. Nice, solitary tour.

today on Meja, Škrbina and Tolmin Kuk. Wind calmed down at noon so conditions ideal nasmeh

We are going tomorrow to Tolmin Kuk from Čadrg. If too hot, then only to Migovec. Has anyone already hiked this variant? How does it look?

Today I actually planned ascent to Vrh nad Škrbino, but due to thick fog and wind I only reached Škrbina. The path from planina Razor is without special features.

Tolminc is really good cheese, because it's naturally spicier, Montasio is similar with slightly different taste nasmeh

. I think the cheese dairies on pastures are usually open just another week, if the weather is nice.

Viharnik, as a local Tolminc cheese is very well known to me and often ends up on my "menu" velik nasmeh

The best are the free times. And yesterday was a great day in Tolmin area. We started in Tolminske Ravne. But not alone. Another group came after us. And we went together all to Škrbina saddle. Or to peak Vrh nad Škrbino. They descended to Globoko saddle. We via path under Podrta gora, Rušnati vrh to Zeleni vrh. From there to Tolmin Kuk. And descent circular past planina Kal to start. Saw Škrbina plateau, where we hiked in snow last March. Tour not short. 1400m elevation and about 14km. Not warm. Needed long sleeves. Markings to Zeleni vrh quite faded. At start met again. Nice group of hikers. From our parts.

for the first time we go along the upper path to Zeleni vrh.

especially now that summer is departing.

it looks similar to the sea there in the distance. Those Kamnik ones were so nicely visible yesterday.

Circular Tolmin Meadows, Razor Plateau, Škrbina, Podrta gora and Vrh Konte, Vrh nad Škrbino, Globoko pass, Razor Plateau. Before Škrbina there are still snowfields, I used ice axe. Further to Vrh nad Škrbino and along ridge peaks to Globoko pass is all dry.
