We will reach Tolsti vrh from Bled and on the road to Bohinj turn left into the village Kupljenik. We must go to the end of the village and park somewhere around the water trough. At the trough we turn left to the farm and behind the farm there is a sign for Talež. However, I did not intend to go all the way to Talež. I planned to go only to Tolsti vrh. There is a notice that the path is closed due to fallen trees. I inquired at the farm about the path. They closed it for safety. I went to check what the actual obstacles are. If they were too big I would turn back. I assessed it would be ok and continued on the path. Only one detail of the path is delicate, where you have to take off the backpack and climb between the trunks ahead. Further on we even have some steel cables for assistance. Still I suggest not to use the path until removal of fallen trees. Follow the signs for Talež. At the marker (partisan monument) turn left onto the path and the path will take us to the 883 m high Tolsti vrh. We won't find marks. But someone drew arrows and lines on rocks and these safely take us to the top. In twenty minutes from Tolsti vrh further we would reach Talež. On the map I only see Planina Talež.
