Tolsti vrh (Nazarje municipality)

This morning I drove towards Čreta and at the junction for Čreta turned left towards the mountain hut Farbanec. Then continued on foot on a very well-marked path to Tolsti vrh 1077m. When I parked the car at 702m it was already lightly drizzling, around 800m it started to snow heavily, so this hike was already almost winter-like. But it's a very nice path 1.30 marked.

From the Farbanca hut I recommend a very nice loop tour over Križ, Tolsti vrh, Sv. Jošt and back to Farbanca on the macadam road. The path is marked to Sv. Jošt (all praise to PD Nazarje for the really exemplary marked new path to Čreta), after Sv. Jošt leave the marked path and continue on the road following it always to the right to Farbanca. from Farbanca hut (praise also to really friendly caretakers) to Sv. Jošt-through Tolsti vrh-about 2 hours, return on road good 1 hour! Also for those who don't know how to Farbanca: from Celje direction through Mozirje to Nazarje, turn towards Šmartno ob Dreti. Then to Lače vas and right after village watch for left road turn (marked Čreta-Farbanca). Follow the road (signs) to the hut. From Gornji Grad direction watch for this turn before Pusto polje village! Hut open Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. And also: in nice weather exceptional view from Tolsti vrh to Kamnik-Savinja Alps, in my opinion better than from neighbouring Menina planina! zavijanje z očmi

I forgot to write one more thing: that in the Čreta hut (40 min from Farbanca) they are known for very good struklji jezik

Lj, no harm, it happens! Probably the previous one confused you. Well, I really enjoyed myself at Čreta, otherwise it depends on each person's taste and circumstances!!

Since I'm from Nazarje and have never been to Tolsti vrh I'm interested where is the best starting point from the valley. or where the path from the valley goes.

Probably best to leave the car at "Motorček", go to Farbanec and then continue. I'll try and report later.

Heading to Tolsti vrh right now. Already the 19th time this year. If lucky and we meet at Farbanec, you can join me on the shortcut, logging tracks, anyway paths not everyone knows. winking

Parked at Motorček - turnoff for Farbanec. On marked path to Farbanec, then forest tracks to Tolsti vrh. Towards Sv. Jošt where we explored a bit and found what we sought Štebirnica cool

(it paid off). We continued on hunting path to Razgledišče Križ above Vransko, then E6 to Koča na Čreti. Path well marked throughout. Return to Farbanec on ridge path, great views in good weather to Mozirske and KSA, and valley down to .... Recommend big
