Trail on Angelska gora (Trnovski Forest)

We got the idea for this trail from the new book Paths for All Days. The trail is circular, varied with lots of natural beauties and views. We discovered tidy solitary homesteads and hamlets and felt the pulse of life in these remote places that enchant you and you have to return… The trail is well marked, only between points 7 (Šturska pot) and 8 (Črne stene) the yellow marks with suns run out and you follow the path along the edge, marked with Knafelc markings. Also there somewhere between Siberia and China we lost the marks for a while, but found them again… the longer loop totals approx. 18 km, the shorter 14 km. This is how we circled the larger loop: Otlica (parking at the cemetery) - Otliški maj – Otliško okno – past Zavrh farm – along the scenic path along the edge to the junction for Majerija – Sinji vrh – Na Logu – Obli vrh – Angelska gora – Sibirija – Kitajska – along the path along the edge back under Otliški maj and to the starting point in Otlica.
All praise to the creators of this trail, which takes us among the beauties and curiosities of these places.

Is the path well marked - I would like to cross from Sinji vrh to the path that goes from Otliško okno towards Col. Is it possible?

Navdušena, the path is so nicely marked that not even our group of hikers (read chatterboxes!!!) gets lost. From Predmeja past Otliško okno to Col the path runs along the Edge. For Sinji vrh you branch off the path (marked) and return to the Edge on the same path. Beautiful places, don't miss this pleasure. Good luck

This is part of SPP that runs from Predmeja towards Col. The junction for Sinji vrh is marked and signposted. But it's true that the path is more suitable for springtime. I wish you safe steps.

Yes, I know about that junction when going from Otliško okno towards Col where the path to Sinji vrh branches off. That's how I went once and then returned to SPP on the same path. But it seems to me there's another junction later for Sinji vrh - like the path along Angelska gora, or differently: are there two junctions from SPP path on the Otliško okno - Col section for Sinji vrh or just one?

If you're looking for a marked hiking path, only this variant is possible. The other option is along the asphalted road Col-Predmeja.

The trail is super. Lots of views of Ajdovščina and surroundings. Sinji vrh is an interesting hill. Start from the village of Otlica.
