Even this year I took part in this our oldest mountain run, which despite that still ranks among our toughest mountain runs. On the over 6 km course from Podbrdo to the top of Črna prst you have to overcome 1320 m of elevation gain. The weather was fantastic. So runners didn't just enjoy the battle with the course, but were rewarded at the top with a beautiful view. REPORT: http://bojanambrozic.wordpress.com/2011/09/03/18-gorski-tek-na-crno-prst/

Very good race. Actually together with Grintovec and Ratitovec the only real mountain race in Slovenia. I'm just a bit sorry that for me the season ended before it really started. That's why I'm extremely motivated to extend the season a bit by running up Triglav again at the first good weather. I'll compete at least with myself. My current Triglav time (1:48) is really bad. So I think improving it shouldn't be a problem.

The weather held up this year too. Organization was excellent, as we're used to for races in Baška grapa. Winner was ski tourer Nejc Kuhar with excellent time 49 min 41 sec, second best result ever. For me it went quite better than last time at Ratitovec. Still, I'm far from back in form. REPORT: http://bojanambrozic.wordpress.com/2012/09/01/19-tek-na-crno-prst/ Would be very happy for photos.

Does the race route entirely follow this path?

Yes. Only small exception in Trtnik village, where you don't run around the house but straight over stairs and into steep meadow. That's one of the specialties of this race. I asked locals if it bothers them - they said every year they make sure to be home on race day to watch the event. Race start is on pic 5, finish of course not at Črne prst summit but at Dom Zorka Jelinčiča. Everything else is as in this description. Stairs: http://alturl.com/qrbhg

Bojan, and that long asphalt bend is cut (the course goes shortcut, no mistake), and start is somewhere at pic 5... Unless it was different this year.

That's true too, yes, that bend is cut via shortcut. Thanks, Loni.
