Hello... I'm new on the forum... I would like to ask for an opinion about a Goretex jacket... it's Trangoworld THASOS http://www.iglusport.si/?mod=store&action=viewProduct&action_id=7844&language=sl what are your experiences with the Trangoworld brand and how does the Goretex paclite material perform... oh... probably not bad to mention why I need the jacket... use for skiing, mountaineering (also in winter time "wandering" around Okrešelj, Kam. sedlo, Skuta,... as well as in summer) as top outer layer... underneath as needed some thermovelour... hope I didn't bother too much... hope for some opinion... well by Monday would be good because till then I have the jacket reserved

Hello. I have it, but so far I use it only for skiing and free time. Good fit, it breathes quite well, of course skiing is not the same as hiking. For hiking I swear by the classic softshell. I would take it, say, on a long high-mountain tour in winter, but in the backpack. On some windy ridge it could prove itself. In short, for skiing it's very good, but I haven't tested it elsewhere yet. Oh, I peed in it in a blizzard... Kr gvera! And despite heavy snow I hardly slipped.

Hard to say. Mine after a year and a half is practically like new. If there was a backpack on it for hours and it was scratched through scree, then it's questionable. But for rougher variants you need hardshell anyway.
