Travnik, Plaski Vogel, Špičje

Already the third weekend in a row over Vršič to Trenta…
The tour was planned last time when we took our son to the mountain camp, but due to the then unfavorable weather forecast (thunderstorms) we climbed to V. Tičarica and Čisti vrh.
During the week Gorazd showed up in his Gorniških potepanjih with a wonderful description and photos of this wild Trenta solitude (very nice  ) and finally convinced us.
We start above Vrsnik right on the marked path to the abandoned Planina Za Skalo, continue over scree, along cables over the jump, on a well-visible trail into Travnik Valley. Wonderful world full of alpine flowers, silence and solitude. Up steep grass to Travnik Saddle and along the ridge where freshly bloomed edelweiss accompany us, to the top of Travnik.
Crossing the ridge, slight descent and ascent on the SW side over steep grass and some rocky jumps to the top of Plaski Vogel. The summit register box on Plaski Vogel top is lightning-struck in two places and cannot be opened. Wonderful views all around, at the same time from the top we choose passage directions through pathless and hard-to-traverse crumbly terrain to Za dolino.
Descent requires some climbing skills and is much harder orientationally and technically than the ascent itself.
The day fades and marmot whistles slowly quiet down…
And night came and it was new moon and countless stars in the sky…
In Za dolino we keep right on slabs under Debelim laštom and with some searching easier passages reach the saddle between Brdi and Debelim laštom. Turn left through rocky, partly ruined and crumbly terrain and though sticking to contour cca. 2000 m, we lose quite some time searching passages. Over scree and already on marked path from Hut at Triglav Lakes to Veliko špičje. Follows ascent and ridge crossing of Špičje where sun shows its power, to Hut on Prehodavcih.
Short refreshment and quick descent on mulatiera through Trebiški dol to Trenta, where we miss picnic at end of mountain camp, but always willing and helpful friend Jani waits and drives us to starting point for the car.

Hi, gorska koza! Did we meet under the ridge of Travnik towards Plaski Vogel? I was heading back to Travnik. I was also on the other, higher summit of Plaski Vogel. You have nice photos. Some of mine are very similar, if not identical. Take care!

Marjan and Nataša really know how to enjoy themselves. 
Congrats on the nice tour and best wishes for the next paths too. If I helped a bit with the decision to go into this world, I'm even happier.

If the same paths lead people on the same day, it happens that the same Kranj lily appears 3x on the forum.
Of course we met Velesa, you were noticed earlier when descending the Plaski Vogel ridge. Thanks again for the ascent tip and luck on lonely paths.
Gorazd thanks - surely you were one of the bigger stones in the mosaic that helped our decision. Already looking forward to your next posts.
Countless heavenly pearls in that warm July night, no one can take from us anymore.
