Hi folks. Has anyone studied and set a goal to go trekking around Annapurna or to the base camp under Everest? I plan to achieve this goal next year, meanwhile collecting data, money and altitude fitness. Is there maybe some hero/heroine who would join me on the trail, but NOT under the guidance of any guides, for a real feel of the country and people's lives. Maybe someone has been there and some info would be very welcome.
p.s. some guide can come along, but pays everything himself and takes guiding at his own expense, not mine.
