Trekking poles and crampons

Hello! I've seen several times that trekking poles must not be used when walking with crampons. Unfortunately I don't understand what the reason is? Does anyone know what danger the simultaneous use of both brings.

Well explain to me how you'll stop with poles on a steep slope.

The trick is you need an ice axe that you must know how to use properly to stop if you fall, with poles you won't.

Crampons with poles are a perfectly usable combination on various icy approaches to huts. These are mostly winter trodden paths through forest and the slip risk is not big (or even if we slip we won't go far). When we reach open terrain where the risk of a bad slip ending is bigger, then of course we need an ice axe too.
