9 hours from car to car, over the hill. nasmeh
Lojze was active at home on the meadow. We chatted a bit.
21.4 km, although I don't fully trust the watch.1

But you had the sun all the time. At Dovški Križ there was such fog today that jackdaws didn't fly.

Yesterday at the end of the 3-day trip we visited Srebrnjak and traversed to Trentski Pelc.
For the first time we quite well hit the whole path from the 20th hairpin to the saddle Za Česnom, the grasses to Srebrnjak are still steep as predecessors wrotevelik nasmeh, enjoyment on the ridge, where pines do not pose big problems. The descent was already known to me, so there were no problems and then just counting hairpins to refreshment in Soča.jezik

Not only posting mushrooms...nasmeh

These spots are so dear to my heart that I was back there after two years. Different loop this time. Almost a bit too big for me.
With Dejan we started at the little church, accidentally climbed the wooded peak Na Grivah and traversed to Stari Utro. From there classic to Trentski Pelc and along the ridge to Srebrnjak.
Weather was for the gods. Autumn colors in full glory.
From Srebrnjak we went straight down to the saddle Na Česmu, from there along the hunter's path and road back to Stari Utro. On the return we found the right trail and after just under 10 hours and over 2000m ascent ended the beautiful loop.
Good thing there's a little bridge here.1
A bit our own way.2

From afar almost a straight line between Srebrnjak and Pelc, micro-location quickly disproves it.

To Srebrnjak - via Ribežni to Trentski Pelc and on the way back towards Stari Utor up and down to Plešivec - 18.6.2024

Along the mulatjera to the 20th hairpin and towards the saddle Za Česnom, up steep grass to Srebrnjak, along the ridge over the forepeak of Srebrnjak and descent from the forepeak along a narrow steep path right north along the ridge to Ribežne. The path up and down through Ribežne among the bushes somewhat below the Ribežni ridge mostly on the south side is quite followable and the bushes are decently trimmed. Ascent to Trentski Pelc via the already mentioned short ledge on the north side is, when you approach it, really "elegant" and shouldn't pose any special problems - actually the descent down the steep gully from Trentski Pelc is somewhat harder. From Trentski Pelc first a bit along the ridge, then either the variant right down over a small jump where there's a prepared belay at the top or the variant (which I took) bypassing the rock jump a bit before the mentioned belay right down the steep grassy slope/valley and very soon left under the rock jump. Then right down the already mentioned steep gully to the scree and towards Stari Utor. Somewhere halfway to Stari Utor at the junction where poorly visible faded markers appear, left towards Plešivec on a winding poorly visible marked path back and forth among bushes and small sinkholes (without at least somewhat visible markers I can't imagine how to get from this junction to Plešivec). A bit before the summit, a marked path left to some grassy forepeak of Plešivec (???) without visible continuation surprised me and I only noticed after descending back that it's a fork and you need to traverse a bit further right below the ridge to Plešivec and only then via a cut through the bushes left to its summit (this part is also poorly marked). From Plešivec back to the mentioned junction and to Stari Utor and down the mulatjera to the valley. It added up to just over 2,000 vertical meters. For easier orientation, more details in the attached photos.
Along a short path (after the turn-off at the 20th bend) right upwards over scree and just before the summit left into the forest for a short time1
2
Very soon right upwards continuing the short scree and again left into forest / bushes (barely visible path)3
4
For a short time visible small path right around the grassy edge5
Further gentle traverse towards Sedlo Za Česnom6
Sedlo Za Česnom7
I chose the direction slightly left of the salt lick all the time over steep slopes 8

Towards the ridge / grassy ridge11
Upon reaching the ridge / grassy ridge a bit to the right along it to the last part below the summit and some easy rock scrambling to the top12
At the summit of Srebrnjak13
Further along the ridge and descent right towards the fore-summit of Srebrnjak14
View of the descent towards the forepeak of Srebrnjak and the path over that forepeak. This is followed by a steep fairly exposed path just north along the ridge to Ribežni. 15

Good tour. Already to Trentski Pelc is a mouthful. Last year we also reached the forepeak of Plešivec. We were surprised by the markers in that part. We didn't continue because it clouded over. Hope we manage that part of the path sometime.

@Heavy_bull: i also went to Plesivec recently on the same trail you took from Trentski Pelc direction. When the trail reaches the top of Plesivec (46.393337,13.7180084) it continues, going steeply downhill. I did not explore this descent. It would be nice to find out where this trail starts, as it probably is a shorter and direct path to Plesivec coming from Pri Cerkvi direction. I took the trail from Pri Cerkvi to Staro Utro, and didn't notice an obvious turn to Plesivec... but it should be there? nasmeh

Congratulations to Heavy bull for the completed tour, especially for the vivid depiction of key passages. With my son we climbed the described path on 11.5.2024 only to Srebrnjak (and back the same way - see Srebrnjak forum). But at the salt lick we chose the right direction, which leads to steep slopes. In photo 9 you show the left variant and I'm curious if it's any easier than the right one.

From Plešivec you can continue north to the first peak in the ridge, Ušje. To there you push through the bushes through "tunnels" or some kind of rocky ditches where bushes don't grow. But you have to go on your knees several times. From Ušje there is a cleared path through the bushes at the top, later you have to follow a modest track downhill through the forest to the junction with the path Pokopališče v Trenti - Staro Utro.
I did the tour in the opposite direction, from Ušje to Srebrnjak.

Has anyone recently checked towards the Pelci direction, or even jumped up there? velik nasmeh
Otherwise I think there are still some snow patches in the most awkward spots, but hope remains for some other answer zadrega

I went to check the conditions myself velik nasmeh There are still some snow patches, but they're not problematic, you can bypass all. Except one, under the gully to Trentski Pelc. About 15-20m of it, but with some care no issues.
Grasses towards Srebrnjak still steep... well - Trentarske cool Luckily completely dry, so the ice axe stayed in the backpack. Yeah, ice axe for grass velik nasmeh
