For the path from Rudno polje there's a novelty: completely renovated section of the path towards Studarski preval, specifically the stretch above Planina Konjščica under Sivimi policami. Credit goes apparently to "Triatlon jeklenih Bohinj". Those who'll be glad are especially the "walkers" who on weekends massively hike towards Vodnikov dom. On the path - Dom Planika, Triglav, Triglavska škrbina, Tržaška koča na Doliču - no peculiarities, if not counting columns of hikers from Kredarica and Planika. Italian barracks Morbegna, still worth a visit, after decades of partying is inexorably falling apart. With grandson Peter we celebrated on Saturday at 8:20 on the summit the 50-year jubilee of my first ascent to Triglav. From Kranj four STŠ students took the train to Mojstrana, overnighted in Aljažev dom and still in pitch dark (with flashlight) headed towards Luknja and to Triglav via Bambergova pot. On top we met only one mountaineer who captured us with his camera. We returned via Kredarica, Staniča and Kota to the train in Mojstrana. No talk of mountaineering gear back then. No gojzarji, no backpacks. We carried shoulder bags, so-called tržačani (suede shoes), pumparice were everyday wear anyway. Food was pork fat, plain sugar, lemon, fish tin and of course the standard bread. Triglav was, at least from afar, just the same as today, though Triglavsko pogorje was real wilderness back then, which it hasn't been for long!
