Please describe the route to Triglav via Triglav Saddle? Thanks for the reply!

Via Triglav Saddle (sometimes Bovška) there are two routes to Triglav, one from Dolič direction or if you come via Plemenice, the other from Dom Planika. As trinity wrote, under the one from Planika there's still quite some snow, dangerous for slipping, the other one I assume is almost dry. Put some effort and ask a concrete question, you surely know enough to know where you'd go up.

You're right Triglavski ; but I assumed they mean the Saddle from Planika. That was my first ascent to Triglav.....

Well congrats trinity if that was your first time via Gorjanska to the top, otherwise it's nothing special, just need to watch a bit over the wall, otherwise the route is nicely marked. For descent I don't recommend it too much, because there's quite some scree on top that flies down, especially if some careless ones go up. Well today I was up and the one from Dolič direction is really dry, just some scree in the gully, nothing special, under Gorjanska still quite some snow that was completely frozen today, otherwise it was pretty cold on top +2 and around 15 m/s. I did the classic from Zadnjica to Luknja, via Plemenice to the top and via Dolič back to Zadnjica.

Yeah really nothing special, I was scared back then, now I enjoy chimneys....ehhhh that's how it is. Today you were up, probably nice weather....so clear.... Well I usually also approach the top from Zadnjica, the Soča valley is close to my heart and I always marvel at its beauty again. Well next trip will probably be your classic... the path via Plemenice has been "calling" me for a while

If possible I prefer to go in nice weather and today it was like that too. To Plemenice just go, then do also this old Kugy path, nice simple solitude, peace, animals, just for the soul. If you don't know it and you're interested I'll describe it to you.

Triglavski, if you were up today tell me if it's worth going up at night via Kugy path or via plemenice. I plan to go from Saturday to Sunday (if weather nice or night clear) because full moon.

I've done quite a few such night ascents, but for safety I chose easier routes then. If you know them well there shouldn't be problems, flashlight always in reserve. But need to consider Moon position too so the area is lit, because Moon isn't always in same sky position and won't help at certain spots.

Triglavski thanks. There was a change of plans, so we'll head from Loška Koritnica, over little Mangart and bad saddle to Mangart top. Then on Italian side to the saddle, past red rock back to Koritnica. Daytime of course.

For trinity. Today I descended from the Summit to Kredarica, then across the glacier to Kugy's ledge and along it to the western Triglav plateau. From there down via the marked path over Plemenice. Below the spot where you cross the small ridge (wire ropes) I always go below, because it is closer and easier; it leads down towards Trenta from the scree—a still barely visible track that from the scree goes into the grass; there it is a bit harder to follow but it goes. Sometimes a faded orange mark is found. Although it looks quite steep from the top, the track is nicely routed; a bit lower the path leads us left and turns around the corner; here we encounter a rocky section over which we descend with the help of two old wires that are firmly installed. Soon we are on a wide scree or "plaz"; for some time we go along the scree, then again left along some ledges; we cross another part of the scree and on the other side below the walls we already notice the continuation of the track; there follows another section straight down the grassy part and we are already on the track that brings us between the bushes and larches to the ruins; from there it is just a few steps to the mulatjera. For the first time I suggest from below up; in wet conditions and fog I advise against it. I will be glad for an opinion after hiking the path.

Triglavski many thanks. As soon as we hike this path I'll reply of course...hope next month If you can I'd kindly ask you to draw the route on a topo map In any case we'll go from bottom up...it's always easier to go up than down.... Thanks again and best regards!

On Saturday I went from Krma over Kurica and Konjski sedlo to Dom Planika, then over Triglav Notch to Triglav summit. The T. notch was very nice to me and I met no one except three descending, so at least in that part of the path I enjoyed peace and quiet, because otherwise there was quite a crowd already on the path that comes from Dolič-Plemenice, which is probably nothing special for August. Despite the weather, which luckily held but was fully foggy, it was super. . Then descent to Kredarica and back to Krma.
