...I've been tempted by this visit for a long time. Whenever we drove by or walked, there was no time. So today I'm going just there to see this cave fortress with the folk name Turkish Cave on the slope of Gozdašnica, above Završnica. Nicely preserved cave shelter (has two entrances), which locals used when hiding from the Turks. Mainly women with children and the elderly took refuge in the cave. The Turks never discovered them.
The path isn't long, a total of less than half an hour from Završnica. First along the road to the bend where the signpost is. Then along the trail, which today had lots of dry leaves, a bit slippery, otherwise the path is not demanding. Once in the cave you can climb to the little ridge through the smaller entrance. There you'll enjoy the views. Of course you have to go through the cave again to leave this cave shelter. No regrets, it was a short but pleasant experience. nasmeh
