100 UTVV Report Writing is not my strong suit, so initially I didn't plan a report, but reading reports from my running mates' 100 UTVV convinced me to write something. First, congratulations to the organizers for excellent organization and execution. Course perfectly marked, though I strayed a bit by my own fault. Congrats to all competitors on the beautiful but tough course. Thanks to everyone who cheered me along the entire trail, it was really really insanely tough!!! I arrived in Vipava the day before, handled registration, slept in a tent. At 5 a.m., Dejan G. and his girls drove to the start in Ajdovščina. I admit, I was a bit scared, since after 100 miles of Istria I practically didn't train, just some cooldowns and cycling. Morning hinted at rain, almost worried about repeating Istria. Exactly at 6 a.m. start. Dejan, Ivi, and I pulled ahead immediately. No one followed, when turning from asphalt to trail I sped up a bit and was alone. Tactic similar to 100 miles Istria: run fast first half, make selection, especially eliminate Italians good on descents - succeeded more than well - five tough competitors I was sure for podium didn't finish (both Italians, Ivi, Toni, Martin...). At Golaki I already had 9 min lead. So on descent today I didn't push too hard and saved legs. Didn't get a single blister, new nails lost on Istria are growing back happily. Weather complete opposite of Istria, hot, humid, suits me but I wasn't acclimatized yet - came suddenly. To halfway trail 5.5h time, increased lead despite easy downhill run to 12 min. Around 65 km informed first chaser 8 min behind - panic, Dejan chasing today. Previously hurried on climbs and flats, now pushed descents a bit too. Fortunately misinformation, chaser was relay runner not Dejan. At 2/3 trail exchange we arrive together. Heat getting to me, but data lead grown to 35 min calms me. Somewhat more relaxed continue descent to Podnanos and ascent to Nanos aiming to get up ASAP as downhill somehow. At Nanos drink hot soup and calmly continue to Abram. From Nanos informed next competitor reached top 45 min behind. Admit after 13h running not in great shape so allowed almost too much walking pace on last part, lead shrunk to 10 min. FINISH!!! INSANE atmosphere, roar of fans UNFORGETTABLE! THANKS EVERYONE FOR CHEERING!!! Next year definitely 100 UTVV again!!! :laola  Marjan    https://www.facebook.com/tic.ajdovscina/videos/902895613102727/
