I start from the Postojna end, more precisely direction Pl.hut on Pečni reber 763m, where we first cross the motorway with an overpass, then after a short climb turn right and leave the car by the road. Further the path leads a bit more on asphalt, later at the junction keep left. After 5.5km of riding on nice macadam and mild slope we see the first Martin Krpan sign. Here either left up the shorter variant to the top (5km less) or go straight ahead a few more km, where we notice the first junction strictly at a sharp angle back (skip it). Further after about 1km finally turn left into steeper climb and follow it straight all the way, path goes some up some down (don't use side dirt paths, instead ride on yellow macadam). After some ascent reach the hunting hut below the main ridge consisting of several peaks. Further again straight to military stone wall and three guard-weekend houses. At the last weekend house turn immediately up right to Big Javornik.
Since today was really bad day for longer route due to fog, wind and occasional rain, instead of circular variant via Rakov Škocjan and road along motorway to Postojna, I rode only shorter variant circular to start. Tour is tame despite 15km ascent and suitable also for occasional MTB riders (mainly shorter variant). Views from mountain and visit to Rakov Škocjan and Cerkniške lakes some other time.

From Kalič via Jelen to the top of the ski slope and by road to the top of Javornik.
At the top there's a collapsed tower on the radio club hut. Right from the top down is more densely forested, so there it was more comedy and pinball from trunk to trunk, lower down it opens a bit and you can even make a couple of turns.
By road we return to Kalič and ride via Jelen to the hotel. We throw one eye into the hotel, which is smashed to the last piece of glass, but maybe it's good that it's ventilated therefore and practically no mold is visible and except for the obvious breakages the building seems healthy.
For the end something some might see as vandalism, but for us it's old Kališka tradition

On Saturday we went to find that point of Couriers and Signallers Path.
We experienced great autumn day on Javorniks.
