I started the ascent at Vršič. At the fork in the forest I headed towards Jalovec, where the knee-grinder starts almost to the foot of Goličica . Otherwise it's a walk to the fork, so... . After a really tiring scree above Jalovec's Ozebnik to the saddle and down left to the foot of today's champion. Difficult pathless? Maybe the ascent that lasted short but really sweet 15 min., but the descent was a completely different story. I nicely struggled searching for passages, probably had luck too, basically the entire ridge is climbable. Under Špiček to Fux for a beer and home!

Yesterday to Veliki Ozebnik via Jalovski ozebnik. About 30 meters below the summit we turned back, as there was really strong melt and we didn't want to risk avalanche. Otherwise a wonderful day, almost too warm for winter. Jalovski ozebnik is nicely passable, towards the top there's a shorter icy part and need to be careful. Visited mainly by ski tourers, hikers only to Tamar. And happy end of regional lockdown to all!

This doesn't belong here. I think under Goriška notranjska . .

Nice Julijec! Rarely visited, but prominent peak, which has only the bad luck of being neighbor to Jalovec.

Has anyone been to Great Ozebnik recently? How's the trail visibility in that climbing part? Any cairns? From the junction with the marked trail to the very foot I think it's well visible, at least as I remember from visiting Jalovec and from the pics here. Thanks in advance for reply.

Shouldn't this thread be locked or moved under Julijce?! So there's no "misleading".

Today on Great Ozebnik. When we leave the marked trail we cross the scree towards the gully, climb up the gully, at the top of the gully about a meter maybe one and a half meters on the flat, then straight up the hill. There are cairns and enough of them so you can follow. I fixed some more, enlarged them to be more visible. From the junction with marked to the top no more than 20 minutes,
