Afternoon trip by car almost to the ruins and then on to Little and Great Pečovnik until rain surprised us. At the end of the trip a rainbow cheered us up too.

Start above Jezersko and zigzag through the forest looking for boletus, walked several hours and collected about 1kg young beautiful boletus. Arrived at Veliki vrh, descended and to Pečovnik. Peak unknown to me, first time there. Back again foraging on my own.

MALI+VELIKI PEČOVNIK

Yesterday we turned into Kokra valley and further towards Komatevri. We did that already last fall, but then the path stopped quickly due to landslide on the road. Material on the road after 4th Aug was so much that it took four months to repair, at least that's how long the road was closed. Then we went just to see Lehnjak waterfalls, yesterday we decided to walk the whole valley, i.e. to the end of the road, which is to the ruins of former border post. Car could go there, but from hunter's hut onwards there are tree obstacles on the road.

So we parked quite low, as we were interested in the whole valley, not just Pečovnik. We were surprised by nice views opening already along the road, intensifying as we approached Stanič hunter's hut, where it's heavenly beautiful. Yes, hunters know such spots. At the ruins of former border post we caught a nice path (well, some fallen trees too) and later along border ridge traversed to Pečovniks. Under V. Pečovnik we briefly stepped on snow, but had to leave the path. Wonderful views from the top, border stone there has no.251. We also looked towards Plešivec, but postponed it for next time, so we'll go on that path more surely.

We returned mostly same way, but not entirely. In between took shortcuts, descended past abandoned homestead in Komatevri, before walked a bit longer along border stones.
Really beautiful and despite Sunday on the path met no one, only chatted with a couple locals in the lowland and that's all meetings nasmeh
