This afternoon from Poljčane to the 556m high Veliki Slom and, so as not to mežikanje burden the environment with carbon - by bike along the line of least resistance, because in the afternoon heavy showers had well passed to Žič or rather the meadow of Žički grobeljnik, where the real ascent began above the Žičnica stream through the area called Sotensko. Interesting forest path more or less wide, which partially transitioned into singletrack in some sections. Veliki Slom is a hill visible right away to the left before the entrance and after exiting the Golo Rebro tunnel towards Ljubljana somewhere to the Škedenj viaduct. Below the summit I somewhat 'searched', but in the end decision for approach to the summit from SW direction. No views, but the path to the summit is sufficiently dynamic and one of the more interesting on paths between Boč and Konjiška gora. Veliki Slom is somewhat more NE from optimal paths and has quite long 'waited' for my visit. I returned to Poljčane along the southern part of the Loško-Zbelovska mountain path which was the correct and optimal choice and also getting to know the path by bike in summer time... Short activity, which still enabled some new insights between Boč and Konjiška gora on less visited and also unmarked paths. Track:Veliki Slom 556 m a.s.l., 07.07.2013 Regards

After five days again by bike from Poljčane to the 556m high Veliki Slom in direct line from the meadow of Žički grobeljnik... Activities the second time are of course much more precise, because the first time you look for approach solutions. Today thus again to the summit in optimal line and return - descent along the ascent line. Paths of course dry, light wind and still some sun at relatively late hour. Met no one as I expected somewhere. A few days ago there were most hits in brotherly Slavic languages on economic basis: Veliki slom 1929-1933 as a reminder of the world crisis but today the situation is different and Velik Slom as a summit has found space on the world wide web and mežikanje maybe that's also right and additional sequence or added value with pleasant activity in nature...Track: Veliki Slom 556m a.s.l., 12.07.2013Regards Bruno/bruny

Veliki Slom definitely a good idea also for visiting three nearby summits - Topolovec 574m a.s.l., Žlodržek 561m a.s.l. and Žička gora/castle fields-Lustruž 421m a.s.l. planned and also ridden. First time on all three. Topolovec and Žlodržek are near optimal connections between Boč and Konjiška gora but somehow overlooked...In winter during hiking activities in snow and drifts I set myself to conquer them in summer time - in heat with bike...Žička gora/ castle fields-Lustruž like Veliki Slom even a bit more NE from shortest paths and today the right thing for pleasant summit tris. Skipped Veliki Slom summit today, but used for descent via Sotanski to Žičnica valley - Žiče.
Just like that also ridden Loško-zbelovska mountain path, without Ljubična, added three summits that are not part of the path and thus balanced it.

Yes, of course these are not mežikanje ,,IN,, summits or points but in broader understanding and perception of space definitely suitable to go there once, maybe twice...somewhat present and hand over to oblivion again...Paths dry, practically dried out, mugginess somewhat broken by light breeze.

After the rain comes the sun and in the evening hiking to Veliki Slom from the starting point at the Žički grobeljnik nursery. In July twice to the summit with a mountain bike in different - muggy conditions but it was pleasant. Today was the right opportunity for a hiking approach to the summit. Path soaked, partly muddy and a distinct wind from the northern directions was strengthening. Ideal summit of medium incline, when there is not too much time and somehow the path structure is similar to Zasavje ones...Somewhere between Celje, Laško and Tremerje there is a summit of similar name and height with mežikanje addition ,,nik,, at the end - on occasion visit and comparison...Lp

Between one rain and another, some break and right opportunity today around noon for a miniature on Veliki Slom. This time approach to the summit from north and east side along simple interweaving of forest logging trails, obviously active torrent bed at night, forest road and paths. Paths wet, partially muddy but not too much... this is also somewhat limestone world. Descent along south and west side, which I already described and is partially settled. Starting point at the ,,Žički grobeljnik,, nursery and at the end also view of raging Žičnica, which was 'tearing' its anger in the bed. Veliki Slom. Afternoon goal. One circular combination, of course by bike. Concrete entry point at the Žički grobeljnik nursery. Pleasant wide forest path. Due to log extraction now partially logging trail. Somewhere to 420m height. Summit skipped today. Continuation along part of Loško - Zbelovska mountain path. Watershed partially between Dravinja & Voglajna. Finish back to Poljčane. Various surfaces and slopes. Of course also interesting insight into the space. Start at the Žički grobeljnik nursery in Žičah. Short hiking, easy activity. Path not marked but pleasantly followable. Varied terrain and transitions between forest, pastures, vineyards... Today terrain of course soaked, consequently muddy and slippery.. Whole path it rained. Fog weak, more for pleasant autumn/winter impression. Below on highway quite some traffic despite Sunday. From homesteads smoke rose from chimneys, heating season in full swing but raw material is close. Beech wood of course base in this part. Met no one, descended along one new pleasant path among brushwood along somewhat more pronounced western ridge.
Today nasmeh desire for a short hike, Veliki Slom definitely right choice, not far and interesting is this world. Yes, nasmehit was pleasant...

Veliki Slom in hiking variant. Starting point at the Žički grobeljnik nursery. In wall and rocks where already quite some early autumn colors grow... Through Sotensko above right bank of Žičnica leads path in form of forest path. Actually due to log dragging now in form of forest logging trail. Despite relatively low summit height 556 meters one has to sweat properly upwards. Higher also two clearings, vineyards, fruit trees, pastures, meadows, sturdy homestead directly under path, two, three weekend houses/cottages... Summit viewless and back to Žičnica valley, today same path back. Path already quite dry, limestone world mainly. On St. Stephen's Day... Veliki Slom in the central part of the day. From Žič, from the meadow Žički grobeljnik across Žičnica stream upwards. Without summit today. One short hiking activity in loop form. Sunny part of Veliki Slom is quite densely settled with homesteads and weekend houses. Today also through settlement for some more pulse on the path. Path dry, no wind, lots of sun and weather felt somehow early October-like. Really pleasant on micro trail with some asphalt through settlements Kraberk and Suhadol post Loče/municipality Slovenska Konjice...

After viewing the meadow of Žički grobeljnik, a short hike to Veliki Slom to height 417 meters. Along path through Sotansko to or above homestead on south side of Veliki Slom. End of April but it was pleasant at low elevation in freshly fallen snow. Veliki Slom hiking in late morning. Basic goal before ascent was to make contact with Loško-Zbelovska mountain path at western point on south slope. In simple track reached contact point and from there only a few hundred meters to Krošl homestead and Jesenek junction. Without summit today and quick return back to Žičnica valley to start in Žiče/meadow Žički grobeljnik. The whole path was pleasantly autumn-colored and without anything special. Northern part in shade, southern part rich with November sun…

Veliki Slom above Žiče in a hiking mini activity. Two basic goals before departure. To establish contact with LZP/Loška hiking trail at the western and eastern points. The task was simple and also completed. The path thus got the Ypsilon shape. It was partly sunny/cloudy weather. The path was partly soaked and muddy. What to add, nothing special... it was simply nasmehpleasant in the short activity somewhat outside traditional connections between Boč and Konjiška gora...

Veliki Slom above Žiče on soggy partly muddy terrain/ground and partly in fog. From Žiče and starting point at Žički grobeljnik plantation. Today in "Ypsilon" combination. Junctions with Loško-Zbelovo hiking trail at western and eastern points. Skipped the summit today. It was nasmehpleasant and that mežikanjeprobably before new rains...
