I'd like to go via Plemenice, but I'm curious about the path's condition? Is there still lots of snow and how are the fixed protections holding up, given there was lots of snow this winter.

The path over Plemenice is in good condition. The fixed protections and the path itself are impeccable.

On Saturday we went up it to Triglav. No complaints, just keep your wits about you and proper technical gear.

On Tuesday 7.7.2015 I'm heading to the mountains, specifically Škrlatica from Vrata to Kriške pode. Wednesday from Kriške pode via Plemenice to Staničeva koča, Thursday from the hut via Cmir to Vrata; haven't done it yet, is it possible?
Asking if there's still any snow via Plemenice, do I need crampons?

You're quite right, last year I went around this time, and the rocks at the bottoms were icy; you couldn't see it. Now, only that steep part going to the western Triglav plateau had icy snow, because it's shady there, otherwise it was fine.

I also did the tour with my mate on Saturday. But I think although there are footprints in the snow already, towards the end of the path (when the path from Dolić joins and up to Triglav summit), besides ice axe crampons too come in handy (where sun doesn't hit snow is rock hard). Note doesn't apply if descending from Plemenice to Dolić not to Triglav.

Hello, does anyone know the path connecting the Triglav path "Via Plemenice" and the path "from Luknja to Koča na Doliču" along the mulatjera. The path leads from Sfinge to mulatjera via Zelenica. I spotted it on various maps. Is it suitable for crossing, what condition is it in, is it a difficult secured path? ZS

Does anyone know if the path from Luknja via Plemenice to the top of Triglav is already completely snow-free or if winter gear is still needed?
