Branko, very interesting and picturesque places. Unfortunately, they are somewhat unfairly a bit remote from the "centers of happenings". Regards and good luck!

Very nice... How many km does the entire path measure? Is it marked?

The path is not marked. You actually walk through the Virštajn settlement mostly on asphalted roads leading to every newer hut - more weekend than permanent hut. At the end of Virštajn, turn left uphill to numerous vineyards through the Olimje settlement past several winery cellars - main winemakers have signs where you can buy wine. We didn't stop at the cellars - they are open on weekends - probably by arrangement on weekdays. You pass the farm with that cattle, the herb park where you can buy herbs and preparations from herbs. When we passed, they were not open. The whole way you walk above Virštajn - called Zgornji Virštajn - on these wine-growing hills, so you can't get lost. Then through the next village Gostinca back to the starting point. We walked very slowly for about three hours. We covered about ten km. Now as St. Martin approaches, it will be even more cheerful in these areas because the harvest was excellent. I think the weather was very favorable to them - I don't know if they had any problems with the weather.

Good you didn't stop at every hut - because then probably wouldn't finish the hike "normally".
