Today with PD Iska Kranj to Viš via protected Anita Goitan path. Start at Viška planina. Already to the planina you walk on partly concreted road more than half an hour. Follows pleasant one-hour path to Corsi hut. Here the decision falls - to Viš via Anita Goitan path. This is extremely demanding protected path with numerous cables, we cross many ledges and demanding climbs 1st and 2nd degree. Quite demanding and tiring. Ascent from hut takes about three hours. Today we were up almost first. Behind us many hikers came. Back via normal path, which has also couple quite demanding descents on cables. Weather served us. Shame up there a bit windy and soon peaks around enveloped in fog. On descent sun shone again. This was one of my most demanding tours.

I don't know the official price list, but for me it's (no advertising), by far the cheapest hut in the Alps. No sheets, but I think for PD members it bills 10eur.

In the old lineup to Viš via the route (Anita Goitan), we had a great time, weather held. At the summit we were alone for 30 min, nobody anywhere, later when descending we met hikers going up. More in pictures, ...

A few more of my pics. It was nice, but that road to the planina drags like chicken guts, especially on return.

Totally agree; don't know why the old path further east from this road is abandoned or so few use it.

20.7.2019 - The fairy tale of ascents and descents lasted a whole 10 hours and 30 minutes, starting in Jezerska valley by the Rio Bianco stream. We continued past Brunner hut to Gorizia bivouac. At the bivouac we turn south over scree to Alta di Rio Bianco notch (2150m). Soon we reach the first cables. The hardest part of the path follows, where we must descend vertically into narrow notch. At the end of this path is a long tunnel. On the way through the tunnel there are also bends and descents on ladder, so headlamp is obligatory. When we come out of the tunnel, a short traverse of steep slope to Krniška notch follows. From the notch we descend scree and on traceable pathlet go right to marked path to Trbiška škrbinica (Forcella di Riofreddo) where Anita Goitan path starts. We continue on south side of Divja koza, at notch between Mala špica and Divja koza go south because otherwise somewhat harder but much nicer as must descend vertically narrow gully with cables, own footholds and some pegs towards notch between Mala špica and Turn. At end cross over precipitous ledges still Gamsova matere wall, then join normal path to Viš. We also jump to top pomlcava and back descent to junction towards Škrbina zadnje Špranje-(Mojzes), from Škrbina continue on Anita Goitan path which soon brings us to Koštrunove špice. Summit is total madness and legacy of past wars. From Koštrunove špice summit descent to Škrbina prednje špranje via path 626. Path is very demanding as unsecured and runs on grassy terrain, very steep and in wet weather can be even more dangerous. From Škrbina prednje špranje descent to Passo degli Scalini saddle (2022m), from there continue to Brazza hut and Pecol planina where we had arranged transport to our starting point by white stream, INCREDIBLE but TRUE,,, in ONE day.

Walked yesterday. No problems. Small snow patch awaits, but can bypass on other variant.

Yesterday the GK Limberk mountaineers hiked the mentioned path. The path offers wonderful views far around. Corsi hut is closed. Need to have some fitness. Helmet mandatory. Nice mountaineering greeting.
