Today from Kot to High Vrbanova Spire. Snow starts just above the spring (around 1350m asl). Lots of snow left and will last a while. At the top wonderful weather, some nearby peaks in clouds, Triglav nicely clear. Around 10am fog suddenly came over the peak and I quickly skied down. Sadly turned out false alarm - cleared up fast again, could have stayed another hour on top or roamed around.
But snow was already very slushy then, so didn't miss anything from that point of view.
In short, quoting Pahor: "What a fantastic day!"

With my son on Monday we ascended from Krma to Stanič hut, yesterday to the summit and back to Krma.
From Konte below Rjavina to Stanič hut still need to cross quite some snowfields, so on the way back we chose the ridge path to Dovška saddle and then descended to Krma path.
Yesterday was really a great day for viewsnasmeh.

On Saturday via Rekar over Vrbanove spires. Fixed protections in good condition. Morning still nice, but by noon it clouded over, even a few raindrops fell. Photos tell more.

today with kids on this route. Start in the dark from Kot and up. Morning was quite cold, and we caught the sun only a bit below summit. On summit sun warmed us and almost no wind. Route in good condition and very little snow, just on descent from Stanič to Kot we put on crampons at few spots, as snow was fully compacted and frozennasmeh

Hi. I'm thinking of going tomorrow from Kot via Lojze Rekar path to High Vrbanova and past Stanič back down. But maybe someone knows how the snow is on those sections?

Thanks for info.

hi,
I wrote a few days ago.
For ascent no need for winter gear, on descent few snowfields quite compacted. But can be crossed also without crampons, but with lots of caution.
Have a good hikenasmeh

On 18.8.2018 my colleague and I arranged an ascent to Lower and High Vrbanova Spire via Lojze Rekar's route. Pure pleasure!

Trail in excellent condition!

Today from Lengarjev rov in Kot via Lojze Rekar path over Spodnja to High Vrbanova Špica. Descent past Stanič hut back to Kot.
Road to Kot is OK except one bigger sinkhole. Snow needs to be crossed several times from hut towards Pekel, but no problem as it was crusty. Protections on route...OK.

Today 30.6. from Kot. Snow starts continuously already above the spring. And soon you can't avoid it anymore. Without proper gear up here and over Prag you got nothing to do. Even if it all stays in the backpack mežikanje While ascending to Vrbanova I spot a mountaineer descending from Rjavina. Upper snowfield looks crusty and he's going very carefully. On Vrbanova no snow on the ridge. Crampons on again at Stanič waiting for building material transport. Nicely packed in heli bags. Better than flying us...

Today from Krma up over Ržki meadows and down circular past cow valley. Very nice trail, which would be triple plus if not for the fog. On rock walls quite a few chamois stared at me strangely wondering who the intruder is, on green plateaus sheep took that role jeziknasmeh so I wasn't quite alone. If anyone needs a pair of crampons or forgot them attaching pic, located a bit below shepherd hut. Mustn't forget interesting, literary rock creation on topnasmeh
