They say it's dangerous a bit higher up due to avalanches. But one can dash from Tuhinj Valley (Belice) to Vivodnik (Menina planina). A fairy tale for all who enjoy snow. At least half the path on dry snow, there about a meter of it. But the path is trampled, so no problems. Some trees or branches down/broken, no issue either. And one of the best things - neither on the way up nor on the way back did I meet anyone. It'll snow tonight and tomorrow probably all different. Still, even on such small hills (1508 m) it's nice.

Maybe someone knows about the passability of the road from Tuhinj Valley to parking under Bibo Planina?

Last cars, and mostly off-roaders, were parked at the intersection where the road to Bibo turns right, left or straight goes to Zg. Tuhinj. Further only on foot.

Yesterday to Menina planina from Semprimožnik. Fairy tale like. Huge amount of snow, path from this direction well trodden. Had crampons on, recommended for downhill. Around the hut and to Vivodnik trodden, wanted to go to Goli vrh too, but snowshoes recommended in that direction. Met only six people. In three and a half hours 10km and 750m elevation.

A bit less romantic was on Saturday the path from G. Grad past Strmčnik. We broke trail to the top,
and it's poorly marked, especially at "junctions".
But the feeling at the top was all the sweeter.
Down past Florjan and Semprimožnik.
It went smoothly

I know the path over Strmčnik and it's really a bit less pleasant but sometimes it's interesting to go another route too. When I first went up I almost spent more time finding the path than walking

Yes it's true I'm from Gornji Grad but you rarely hear someone going over Strmčnik. Very unknown path but nice view somewhere in between. I'll send a pic.

This path I'll surely repeat. It's very varied. Plan was to go the usual way, but the sign at bus stop tempted me.
I enjoy exploring lesser known areas.
Since I'm diligent and don't go out of my region, I look for less known paths within borders

Today (26.1.) on Vivodnik. Nice walk. Start Belice. Morning still all frozen, just above village snow starts, but it'll soon melt there. On top approx. 15 cm on quite a base. Nice to break a bit in this dry snow, for return on some sections really wish skis.

Is the tower still safe enough to climb onto it.
Reminds me of Boskovec when the tower collapsed one nice day.

Checked it - it's super. And beans, cake and beer..
Trip done in a loop. Hiking trails empty (that's OK for me) because most hikers drive to Bibe, then only to Vivodnik and back.
I walked a bit longer, and also checked out Jespu cave.
